no need to buy a router.

    simple...

buy another lan card..( if naa onboard na lan ur host pc )

connect the dsl model to the onboard lan..set the ip to automatic.

now..configure the other lan IP into the simple 192.168.0.1

connect this lan to ur Surecom (EP808SX) 8-Port Ethernet Mini Switch maski asa na slot.

now.. have another cable..conect to ur client pc...it shud have a lan of course!

    configure the IP into...192.168.0.2

    subnet ( automatic man ni ) 255.255.255.0

now ( this is important! ) set ur default gateway to ( host ip ) 192.168.0.1

    human...

u may maximize ur 8port...just configure the client IPs

    enjoy!

    tested nako ni...

another way bypass this is set ur router to static...

    you can this:
    1. in command console type ipconfig /all
    2. copy everything on the paper.. ip add, subnet, gateways..
    3. go to your routers setup page...
    4. set it to static
    5. input the number you got on step two..
    6. everything leave it as is...

tested and worked on my smartbro connection...
