Multi GPUs is fast becoming the next gen setup. Better come out of your the nut shell regarding your concept of the best single GPUs.8800gt beats the hd3870. ang ka level sa hd3870 ron kay ang 9600gt na mas barato.
and there are X2's out already... hehehehehe...
debatable nuon to iyang gisulti bro..hehe.Originally Posted by StyM

ok man sad ang 8800 pero power hunger lang jud siya compare sa uban na video cards...
i'll try to buy the X2 Video card. i'm budgeting pamn gud. hehe. anyways, thanks sa mga ideas ninyo mga master. ^_^
Striker II Formula, I presume? Although an ASUS ROG motherboard, it has hybrid technology incorporating nVidia 680i tech and nVidia 570-SLI tech = nVidia 780i chipset.
IMHO, this is not the best solution, since it reportedly overheats the NB and the SB when OverClocking. Some reports have it that some motherboards, NOT ALL, have difficulty breaking the 3.0GHz barrier. Don't know if this issue has already been addressed.
AFAIK, the nV780i chipset is being replaced by the nV790i chipset. If that says anything at all.
Then the issue with SLI. nV780i. Since you are opting for a single card, dual GPU solution, this may not be a problem. When you want to do CrossfireX on an SLI motherboard, however, that becomes an issue.
Lose the motherboard or lose the videocard, that's your option.
Since the motherboard is considered to be the foundation of every good system, and not the videocard, I'd rather suggest you look into the X38/X48 series of any other manufacturer.
My personal choice would be the ASUS ROG Maximus Formula X38. It has the Intel X38 chipset, ATI CrossfireX compatible. Pair it with the HD3870X2 OC X-Turbo of GeCube and you're ready to go!
What's great about the HD3870X2 is the pricing, GeCube HD3870X2 OC X-Turbo Edition SRP in Manila is PHP 18,500.00 only, can be cheaper outside the country. Also Sapphire HD3870X2 can be had for less than that amount, around SRP 17,XXX.XX.
Inno3D GEForce 8800GT 512mb/256bit,DDR3 SRP PHP 11,200.00 x 2 = PHP 22,400.00 Click here for pricing
If you can wait a bit, the HD3870X2 R.2 is just around the corner, with GDDR4 and PLX2.0 with internal PCI-e 2.0 interconnect fix or the HD3850X2/X3 coming out in June 3-10, 2008 Computex 2008.
