No such thing? Based on that definition, then I am indeed a professional gamer. The reason that I can eat every day, buy clothes, watch a movie etc., is because of my job. I get paid a regular salary every month (and a very good one at that) by my company, Avatrian, by playing, working and simply being in the Virtual World called Second Life ( http://www.secondlife.com ).

...so do not conclude right away that there are no professional online gamers.

i was thinking only ppl called themselves a professional online gamer are ppl selling their stuffs for real money.

i know some ppl want their characters to be strong instanly but as i have observed on most of them, they are the first ppl who will lose interest on the game coz they already have everything.

killing ppl 1 shot and call it a skill? ROFL!!!!!

not all MMORPGs are the same. most of PVP MMORPGs requires more skills than FPS.

at least on MMORPG, you can decide to use your retreat skills or retaliating skills when someone tries to backstab you while on FPS games, you just kiss on the floor coz most of them can one shot you if you're turning your back on our opponent. again, where is the skills on that?

probably, you guys just played a warrior class and you just attack and attack w/o strategy. or you are just a noob on the game. try playing mage class, lets see if you can catch up on your fingers pressing the buttons on spells for buffing and debuffing. not to mention healing your comrades if needed.

The thing is, I've tried both genre of games. I've gotten better at both genres... and I can conclude for myself that FPS games are definitely harder to dominate.

Come to think of it, maybe you're just a noob at FPS games and that's why you're pissed at dying so much.

Speaking of FPS', my kid brother Zer0_ppc and I were really into the old Rainbow Six series in the early 2000's and he was way better than me In fact if we only had internet back then he could've easily climbed up world rankings...

...here he is, racking up his daily kills in GRAW2, in US/Euro servers...

Incidentally, I bought his GRAW2 here in Cebu last January so in only two months he's steadily rising up to the cream...too bad he's too busy with teaching/admin job and his GF (hehehe), he's really pro-gamer material But then he's got a very nice rig...

What is your definition of using skills then? Casting a spell on an enemy? How hard is it to press F1(or any key you bind it) and click on your opponent?

I'm not an FPS fanboy, like I said... I love MMORPGs... I'm just keeping it real.
