or, you can do it other way around, you can connect other workstations on the same port your defective unit is connected. If it works, might as well consider putting a new LAN card, then try it again. basin problema ra jud ang onboard LAN ana niya.
you said you pinged the loopback address (127.0.0.1), have you tried pinging the unit's own IP address??
yeah,
try first if he can get the right ip address you assigned,
unsa may configuration aneh naka static or dhcp?
ping first the ip address you assigned to the unit, to make sure your NIC is working
unsa may set-up aneh?
router -> switch -> workstation
modem/router/switch -> workstation
hmm wala ko kahuna2 ani pagping sa own IP niya gi assign
will do this.
setup ani is router -> switch -> workstation
DHCP set-up
check first on your router side sa mga ip addresses nga iya gi assign sa imong work station look for the ip address sa pc nga nagka problema, check also the MAC address,
sa imong pc check your ip address if it has the same ip nga na-a sa router, then ping sa iyang own ip address, then second ang router or your gateway, if you cant get reply, try to release the ip address and renew, then check if you can have another ip address if the same ip address gali iyang ihatag.. i release to ang ip address sa router nga naka assign sa imong problem pc..
then go back to your problem pc again try if maka hatag sya og lain ip address, then ping his own ip address, gateway or router, if wal gali gihapon.. try to uninstall the NIC and follow same procedure if deli gihapon mo work.. palit nalang lain NIC
try check ang lan wire, set-up sa router or switch, bcn naay defect ang usa ka socket sa router or switch, naa my cases na working properly ang lan(as windows said) pro d d.i muwork. daghan pa mn techical factors bro.
