i don't think the government is to be blamed for the rice crisis..it is all of us!!
the rice crisis is one of the effects of global warming..the temperature is way too hot, kung mag uwan man gani lunop ang resulta.. a lot of agricutlural products were destroyed during the landslides and floods of the past two years..a lot of inconsnstecies regarding nature has been happening..we should stop blaming others and think..think what you could possibly do to help ease this pain..
best way is, di lang jud tapalabi kaon and try sharing what we have to others in need..
this started during the time of cory aquino, where she implemented CARP - vast tracs of land being taken back from the hacienderos, cut into smaller pieces of land and given to the farmers.
the poor farmers who don't have capital and is out of work, sold this land to people who put up homes.
less arable land = less rice farms = rice crises.
This is very true... happen this to my family... tenants turned landowner are forced to sell the lands since there is no good plan
on supporting the new landowners to cultivate their new gain lands... sold to developers most of it and either planted with different
crops other than rice or corn or turned to housing development/subdivisions ... what a waste!...

why blame the president alone!!
there are : Real estate firm-->>who converted our small and diminutive rice fields into gated subdivision!! f*** them all
: Irresponsible parents -->> No proper family planning (nagpatuyang lang sa gibati bisag dili ka suporta)
i dont think we have enough supply(without importation) to feed 90 million people
: Lesser appropriation for reseach and development for rice production technology ( syang lang we have pa namam our very own IRRI in UPLB
: some farmers are shifted from rice to corn production (for biofuel source)
: Variability of our Climate/Air condition
