Although naruto is more popular in istorya, I have to agree FMA is far more superior to naruto. :P not that i dont like naruto. i also watch it and have the manga.

I even got my husband hooked on this anime (mind you, he never liked any anime before this except perhaps the voltes v classic)! Now, we have a contest to try and see which one of us will find out first if the next subbed episode is out for dl. Karon I'm hoarding FMA merchandise k murag musamot gyud ni siya ka popular coz they will be showing it on cartoon network (think so). I don't know what they're gonna do with all those bloody scenes....they might edit those out.

ppl are wonderin, why cartoon network wants , it not a kid's anime.. fma is violently enough to be rated as R-18.. to omoimasu hopefully axn-asia will get fma

its not that realy violent if you put in the context of japanese anime__if you want my opinion try watching ELFEN LIED, youll get the the clear picture of brutal and violent anime, its even got gore
macabre and grotesque and decapitated figure...this anime is already pre-licensed before it was
release, by ADV Films..... FMA is scheduled for 52 eps.....got the copy of it down to the latest ep. 47...

What I like mainly about the this series is it's humor. The main characters Edward and Alphonse both have interesting chemistry together and because of this the series has grown on me. The story, while not spectacular, is also pretty good setting up some interesting adventures for the Elric brothers as they quest to fix each others lost. I thought it's the same ol junk anime..i was wrong..it didn't appeal to me that much at first unlike the Scrapped Princess' story but well, sheeez! i just watched episode 49 today...almost done...well, well...Sometimes the story will exploit what the people in the FMA world consider to be taboo: things like resurrecting the dead and placing human souls in other objects such as animal bodies are often touched upon in the story (the anime displays these ideas in a manner that is more explicit when compared to the manga). The religious intones of the afterlife, its rules, and the existence of God do come up from time to time, but the references are not frequent. The only drawback so far is Edward and Alphonse are the only appealing looking characters in the series as everyone else looks a bit generic. It's not as bad as when compared to other titles and I've only seen(not read) the first two graphic novels, so perhaps this may improve as the story progresses. the character and story design is in the "Shonen" style (the main characters are designed in a appealing way, very much like Shaman King and Naruto). It didn't hurt that the anime's character design, animation, music and voice acting was all well done...so Yeah, i'll be watching another episode after posting here..hehe

I just finished the entire series....

there were some part in the series where the story went a little off-direction.

but I'm satisfied with the ending, it's not a tottally bad or good ending, it just gives you more hope in the end, with Elric brothers determined to see each other again.
