    it could be bad sector (most likely)
    Or
    Corrupted OS file (still due to bad sector)

    I believe its not the ram, coz most of ram problem will give you a beep sound or nothing at all on display (no blue screen).

    Reformat the hd (not quick) and reinstall the OS. It may solve the problem.

    The speed of hd has nothing to do with the failure. Even if there is lower than 5400rpm with P4 is not a problem, it will reduce the performance but not creating a system failure.

    Most notebooks has 5400rpm hd with core2duo, but doesnt have a problem at all.

    This technician of yours, he ruined the image of other technician. A bad example... What a pity.

    ako btaw murag gaduda jud ko kay murag wa may logic ang hardrive speed/size compared to processor speed. ingon cya di daw kaapas ako hard disk mao na hinay daw.
