@AMD: Hope you can enlighten me my this motherboard problem - ECS K7AMA3 w/ AMD Athlon XP1800 & out of warranty na.

Noticed the problem 2 months ago. Ang BIOS na date ning reset back JAN. 1, 2002 so I replaced the old 3V 2032 battery w/ a new one. After a few days, mao napud. Reset ang BIOS to the initial date and problem got worse pa.

    1. Pag pislit pa sa power button, ang display sa monitor daghan vertical lines (distorted kaayo)
    2. During boot up sequence after the mobo checks for the memory & hard drive/CD-ROM installed, the next display niya is UNKNOWN CHECKSUM ERROR ug dili mopadayon sa boot up.

What I do to make the computer boot up is press the reset button, get into the BIOS and choose the option to SAVE & EXIT para mo reboot siya by itself and it will normally boot up na. Pero kung ma off power supply niya, I usually end up with the problem number 2.

bro, singit sa ko mentras wala pa si amd ..na try na nimo flash imo bios after changing the cmos batt? nya try pud reset your cmos through jumper. also check kuno imo mga capacitors, try to look for a leaking capacitor or kanang ni burot ba. if naa kay makit-an then dili na na sa cmos nimo and needs to be replaced with an exact capacitor. i think ruelnov is your guy regarding sa damaged capacitors.
