    Default stocks and mutual funds

can u cite also some tips you learn from ur own experience

Bag-o raman pud ko sa stock trading, 2 yrs of experience and i consider myself as newbie. I'm currently trading in US Market (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX & OTCBB - pinaka volatile neng OTCBB).

Nag lisod pod ko ug unsa-on pag sugod kay wala man gyud koy background ani, walay alamag sa taxation, economics & basic accounting. It took me almost a quarter pag research para lang maka sugod. My tool is google.com para sa akong research & unlimited internet access. Gi bisita naku ang phisix website, there is a lot of information on that site. Mao nga taas kaajog tsansa nga ma ipit imong kwarta.

I made-up my mind, i'll invest my money sa US market. For the following reason. So after 3 months of research, nag sugod naku. I used yahoo website para sa mga tsismis/ speculation sa kumpanya nga akong nagustuhan. If my memory serve me right, unang semana naku sa pag trade heng kita dajun ko ug mga 500 USD.

Assume lang nato nga naa kay capital nga 10K USD human heng palit ka ug stock with a PPS (Price per Share) of 9.5 USD, so maka palit ka aroung 1000 share of stock. Imagine lang kung mahimong 10 USD ang PPS with-in a week. Di naa kay gain nga 500 USD minus 30 as commission (in & out) ergo my net ka ug 470 USD in a week.

Start with yahoo/finance there are a lots of information

Take note kung bullish (going up) or bearish (going down) ba ang market.

Cyclical ang market, so ang trend maka tabang nimo. TA folks slogan trend is your friend

Mao most of US investor mag long term gyud pero ang trader in & out na sa market kay naa man silay special taxation.

    PS
Apektado gyud ani ang imong tulog pag nag trade ko with different time zone, expect a new behavior (nocturnal). Mahimo kanang kabag or kwaknet .

My apology sachem, i'm not good in english nor its my native tongue. So i prefer to write in my native lingo which is cebuano with a mix of J's. An influence from my hometown Leyte. Stock trading sound interesting but you cannot ignore the risk. You can make a lot of money & lose a lot. I'm making a lot of money last year, i mean last quarter of 2K3. No need to disclose a figures but to give you an idea how much. I make a profit equivalent to a mid-size SUV with in a week but stock trading its not full of glory. This year 1st & 2nd quarter, i was badly beaten. Almost 100% of my gain plus portion of my capital vaporize from my position. Man thats the tough lesson in my life, it took me almost a month to sleep at least 3 hrs/day. I'm totally devasted base on that experience, no wonder why folks in Taiwan & Japan suicide during the bubble.

You need to open an account from a broker to buy share of stocks in US market. Try to scan my 1st reply to Agokoy on opening an account. If you need further info, please let me know maybe i can help but please take note. I'm still a newbie on stock trading so there is a high chance that i cannot fill-in your queries. You can visit yahoo click me for yahoo finance for all tickers of the public listed company in US.

I believe google IPO (Initial Public Offering) was offered on the range of 80 USD from the institution. There 1st day of trading, it has a lowest price of 95 USD. Its normal in IPO at least 15% gain, the awesome about GOOG was it hit 201 USD with-in a quarter. dang i missed the GOOG train due to a high capitalization.

Hina-ut makatabang ang akong gipang sulat.

As long as you have money to finance your independent investment, its your call to trade at different exchanges.

Here is how it works :
    - you may opt opening an account at Singapore
    - try DBS Vickers On-line
    - the said broker, have a capability to trade on-line on different exchanges but Japan exchange (Nikkei) isn't part of them.
    - you need 2K USD or equivalent to open an account.

money transaction :. I'm not sure what your referring to, anyway i'll try to answer.
    - assuming you already open an account & funded.
    - you can log-in on your account through on-line
    - you'll notice on your account that you have enough cash or balance to trade.
    - now you can start buying number of shares of the company you wish to invest
    - my experience with DBS Vickers, they charge min of 30 USD per transaction (buying & selling)
    - once the transaction was filled the said number of shares will reflect to your holdings
    - you can sell your holdings anytime
    - they will credit your proceeds to your balances

    Earnings :
Just send an e-mail to your broker that you need to fund-out some of your balance. On your 1st request they require lot of proofs that you and the person name reflect on your account is the same. They also required a fax transmittal of your request to authenticate your signature...... HTH

@kalinaw: how did you ever start with stocks? did you ever start with a lower amount?

    Default stocks and mutual funds

how did you ever start with stocks :
it all started when my company vested my Employment Stock Options Plan (ESOP) & the company start to issue certificate on my Employment Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Through then i open an account & used my gain to finance my stock trading & everything is history.

did you ever start with a lower amount :
Search for Pinas broker, i believe you can start lower than 50K Php but youre limited to Pinas exchange. Mine i start with big caps, i mean for an ordinary Juan like me its big na tingali (i divulge some info earlier, hoping nakuha nimo).

some info i disclose earlier, erase.... erase..... erase
