but here's the thing, ang mga anak are latchkey kids unya naa ra sa public school ga-eskwela coz mom and pop has to work for their "luho". talk about priorities and values.

of course this is a generalization but most gyud relatively young nurses here, ang ohales mas dako pa sa butones. ang utang good for 2 lifetimes.

so you young nurses this should be a lesson for you. you should have wisdom and character,

Nurses today: "I want more money, I want to become a nurse"

.. and heck they still claim that it's a profession by the heart? Ironic.

ako, ang ako jud plan, mwork as a nurse pra mka kwarta ko enough to build a stable business like internet cafe or apartment.. after that, skwela ko balik.. sa kurso na gnahan nako..

yaw sad ninyo awaya ang mga nurse oi.. kay sila bya mgbantay ninyo if mgkasakit mo or sa inyong parents, inyong mga anak.. kaso, you only have two choices, an expert nurse na tiguwang pro bruha kaayo ug batasan kay di jud na sila caring.. especially kanang nurses sa c*m* hihihi OR nurses na novice, caring sad pero angats! wahahaha

this thread has turned out to be overly rated with negative thoughts.......against our nurses both old and the neophites abroad.
lets not forget that being and feeling great of what we do in life is actually an important element to keep the drive and confidence in us....what do u think will happen to a nurse who works AS in abroad that doesnt have the certain drive & feeling within themselves? Obvioulsy, they would feel insecure, less competent and less important in the field.........its otherwise known as the FUEL that drives them to become great.

Granted that in some ways these guys that we're talking about juz gets in to our nerves....
well......ive got one thing to say........deal with it!!! They're like that so let them be, its their lifestyle so respect that. They can't change for you to feel better about urself.........The problem with us is that, we want them to think, do , act and speak the way we want them too by filipino standard. But hey, they got their own judgement AND ALL........so they basically aren't that dumb to do something silly that would bring them down, they'd rather do something to promote themselves better than that.....Another thing is, nag work sila in a foriegn land, so its just right to blend with the crowd...coz here abroad pasikatay diri when it comes to your ability and knowledge of ur job/field.....thats how u get noticed, thats how u get promotions, ang pahumble effect dito is just watching a rotten manggo in the chiller....no one will pick u coz ur nothing........that kind of thing.....so u have to stand out too or else ull surely is a total OUTCAST......and thats another issue.

And Talking about quantity over quality.....well , i've got sooooo much to say on this,
first of all, these schools/universities (who are doing this slogan) are a total disgrace......
for the teachers- they shouldnt let that student pass if his/her grades is not worth the diploma
teachers should know better....not pasang awa.
and for the companies abroad, they are not stupid enough to keep a POL-POL nurse in their payroll, if they find that nurse incompetent....she's better off looking for another job instead.

medyo low profile rko ky im an engr at 1st and 2nd kors rani nko ang nursing...meaning napukos lng ug proceed...
actually ang pgka hambugero sa mga nurses or nsg studs kron dli man tungod sa nsg kors kundi ang mga studs hambugero daan...daghan ko klsmates sauna nga mga hambog jd daan pg entrans exam palang namo murag kinsa (wel datu man nay magarang auto ug feeling wafo or wafa hehe...+all-knowing kunohay)

about sd sa mga tchers nga mupasar sa mga studs bsag dli deservin... makita rman sd ang katag ana ig NLE... til now naa pay ubay2 sa among batch ang wla ka pasar... i think ang uban nka 4th take na...

based on my xpirens sd sa mga duties namo sauna... mas makaingon ko na mas hambugero ang mga karaan na bread (oi dli tanan ha...) ky mga walay batasan ang mga karaan na bread oi maningka ug patient... dli atimanon... awayun pa jd... naa sd uban kataw-an... jst like sa nahitabong canister scandal sa vsmmc... actually normal mana dd2... u c nashock ang mga tao nga dli anad sa mga govt hosp na2 dri sa cebu... i hope ang mga ni comment dri labi na katong mga nihatag ug negativ u know kng unsa ang naagian sa mga nsg studs na2 dri ky kng kabalo mo NA...!!! ambot nlng...

mao na bsag mga buutan nga nsg studs ig ka grad maanad na sd sa bati nga batasan sa mga old bread...sadly ang uban matakdan...

Pero as wat ive said dili tanan old bread way batasan... naa sad mga buutan...

first of all the thread is about describing the new breed of nurses.

now, if that is what forumers GENERALLY think about the new breed though it is generalized and as long as it is valid and true, regardless if it is negative then so be it.

if some individuals here perceive it as crab mentality, then you are also free to express your views as long as you don't get personal.

we should also respect the forumers view, after all this is a forum.

I know it is a thread thats worth discussing, thats why we're here to share what we think.
the views which i expressed here were in general , no one was being singled out.......im entitled to my own opinions, and it wasnt personal at all....pls reread my view.

i have read an article over Termination of Nurses in UAE that was passed on and linked by one istoryan to a certain thread as well.

With this, it gave me an idea to start a new one as to how people wud like to describe the new breeds of RN's these days in terms of skills, intellect and character.

dli tanang mga nurses karon ang walay ayu. but sad to say nga kadaghanan sa mga ni take og nursing nga course ky napugos ra jd. hahaiz... mao ng ing ana ang resulta. nurse ko but dli pa ko reg ky karong nov 29-30 ko mo take sa board.

based sa akong experience kad2ng student pa ko... most sa akng mga duty mates ky pamahala-ay kaayu og style (w/c is ing ana pd ko usahay). matud pa nla, dli mn gd ko gnahan mgnursing. pgbuot lng dw na sa ilang parents. i really cant blame them ky victim ra mn pd cla sa situation. but ila lng pd unta gi-sulod sa ilang mind nga dghan ang madamay kng mo continue sa ilang style nga pamahala-ay...

ang uban ky nka grad lng tungod anang ilang pgka dawli....

naa mn pd sala ang institution ani. dli nmn pd quality education ang ilang gihatag. i guess sakto mo anang kwarta ra jd ang gi-apas sa mga skuls karon. to be honest... dghan pa jd ko dapat makat-unan. kuwang pa jd akng mga na learn n na experience kadtong student pa ko.

ang among batch ky daghan kaau og cum laude n magna (mga 100 kapin cgro) but dli ko proud ana. y? cuz for me dli cla deserving. here's the truth: tungod ra na sa mga minors namo mao ng mga dagko kaau cla og average. but kng ang majors gni nga average ang basihan... gamay ra jd cgro deserving nga ma cum laude n magna.
