@lokster, the catalyst im using is the one from the site. and yes i enabled vpu, cause as ive said it keeps on getting vpu errors and without vpu errors it would resort to a lethal bluescreen.

Ka2 nag ATI pako before, i kept getting VPU errors even on windows desktop doing nothing, unselecting the report error solved the problem altho i never had a BSOD.
Several of my friends are also getting BSOD's on their 4870X2's and 4870 1GB/512MB, only goes to show how mature their drivers are.
