Rules:

Mini-4WD Technical Racing using All Tamiya Rules. Rules were meant for All Tamiya so as to limit the number of gear sets to only five (5).

Racers upon registration of their units will be marked by special colored stickers with their names and color coded to their specific gear set up (green 6.4:1, blue 5:1, red 4.2:1,white 4:1, yellow 3.5:1).

Teams are requested to submit one track layout design each and the final race track layout will drawn during the morning of the race date. This is to ensure that nobody gets to practice the track layout and there is no favoring of a specific gear set up.

Prizes:

Here are the Guaranteed Prizes for the Top 3 Winners of GearWars

Ultimate Champion : 1 Grand Trophy + Cash
2nd Placer : 1 Trophy + Cash
3rd Placer : 1 Trophy + Cash

The racer who reach the farthest point in the race but with a minimum of reaching at least 3rd heat using any one of the five specific major gear set up (6.4:1 grey/d. green, 5:1 blue/l. green, 4.2:1 red/brown, 4:1 black/brown and 3.5:1 yellow/l. blue or grey/grey or mustard/mustard) will receive a special trophy and cash prize. In case of a tie then there will be a 3-lap tie-breaker side race for the contenders.

6.4:1 King : 1 Trophy + Cash
5:1 King : 1 Trophy + Cash
4.2:1 King : 1 Trophy + Cash
4:1 King : 1 Trophy + Cash
3.5:1 King : 1 Trophy + Cash

Minimum cash prizes for GearWars event is around P15,000 plus trophies.

If a racer of a specific gear set up will reach the finals, he may win more trophies and prizes since they are cumulative so that for example - during the first GearWars, the Champion Sir Josef won 1st, 2nd and 5:1 King titles so that he took home 3 trophies and cumulative cash prizes. Likewise Sir Ivy won two trophies for himself 3rd placer and 4.2:1 King.
