kliz: did you have any other martial arts background besides BWAR before becoming a member of the varsity - taekwondo perhaps?

baddog: tama gyud ka, lahi ra gyud ang sariling atin, samut na kung ma-face-to-face na nimo ang some of the more dangerous pipol in the world human gusto magpatudlo ug style nato - lahi gyud pre, ang national pride makahilak ka ba - not because we claim to be the best (tho some of them would rate FMA as one of the best out there together with kung fu) but because of the fact that these accomplished martial artists take time out to learn our style because of its effectiveness (even beyond the stick)

I agree Lone Wolf. Naa koy amigo nga nag-praktis ug Kenpo... impressed kaayo siya sa eskrima kay mas effective kaayo because of closed quarter style of fighting bisan na ug walay sticks (uway). Duha ka Jujitsu senior instructors nga gustong magpatudlo ug eskrima diri nako apan wala lang koy time sa pagtudlo. A karatedo would not last fighting to an FMA expert because they like to block and punch straight -- ug kitang nakahibalo ug esrkima, empty hands is like second nature to us. So, pangita-an gyud nato ug higayun nga makapraktis ta sa atong sariling atin!
