cool off... same ra as bulag, break-up!
what's the right term to use bah? cool off, as in ipabugnaw sa ang relationship? or call off, as in call off everything... I'm confused na nuon. For you pips, what's the right term to choose and why?![]()
call off, a. to distract; take away: Please call off your dog.
b. to cancel (something) that had been planned for a certain date: The performance was called off because of rain.
so, which is which? jeehehe
cool off: lay low lng sah??
call off: quits...??
which is which??
hahays?! you got me mga bro... libog pud ko... waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, unsa man jud ni wui...
i know what u mean....it's cool off.
coz you'll say, "break na ta" & the likes when u want to end the relationship.
but why, what's the problem? hehehe, that's another topic.
cool off will eventually lead to a call off...so either way murag quits na
"call off" is a rarely used term for calling it "quits".
"cool off" is a very common term when both parties agree to suspend the relationship short-term, but then usually ends up breaking up permanently anyway.
but if you ask me unsay difference sa duha, CALL OFF is more permanent, COOL OFF is temporary but ends up being permanent.
to call off means to cancel..So you don't tell your partner that you want a call off - because the heck.. why do you want to cancel? To cancel what? the relationship? Ngek.Originally Posted by cp103
So just use the word breakup and don't play with the term "call off" because it's not for this context
