That's why I said if there are any improvements I haven't seen them, based only on my observation and on what I've seen. I pass by A.S. Fortuna everyday and it still has a serious drainage problem, this is a major road in Mandaue so its sorry state doesn't reflect well on the city. How can Mandaue be the next Makati.. Makati never floods not even during Ondoy. Then there's the barangay roads like P Remedio that were supposed to be fully paved but it seems they abandoned the repaving and only paved them halfway. Huh? What happened to the other half of the road, it's a joke.. one part is paved the other part remains a dirt road... but if there are other improvements in Mandaue, I'll take your word for it. No need to get hysterical man.. I'm not trying to destroy your idol. I just don't trust politicians that easy.

rmk ... the a s fortuna road drainage problem started during the time of ingko pedong ouano ... he allowed the rolling hills project to continue in a natural drainage area during his time ... against the vehement opposition of the barangay capt didith bercede ... i'm old enough to remember this ...

the first JONAS administration also tried to relocate the squatters at the back of rolling hills but was rebuffed by the IrO in the council then ... today the move to relocate the squatters is looking GOOD maybe in the near future ... part of the flooding in this area will be addressed ... ... i say part because the big part of the problem is the the rolling hills building allowed and encouraged by tedyboy's father ... ... maayo man na nga tao si ingko pedong but he bears the most responsibility for this ...

...and about Mandaue City, it has improved its image a whole lot since Mayor Jonas took over.. I've said it before & I'll say it again, the problems of my city, created & mismanaged by the previous administration for 2 decades can't simply be undone in two terms ni Mayor Jonas.. give him more time to be the mayor & you will see wonders for mandaue.. we were known then as the biggest Shabu Lab in southeast asia, the lamppost controversy still hangs over our heads, the 30% upfront cash incentive for anybody who wants to put up a business in Mandaue.. I was so ashamed to be called a mandauehanon then.. Mayor Jonas changed that.. imagine 7 ambassadors came to my hometown despite the recent Quirino Grandstand hostage fiasco.. that speaks volumes of what he has accomplished..
