choya sa EP 5 oi bag-o ra ko kita ,murag padung na cla PINAS sunod na umaabot na episode...wohooooooo!!!
The US Marines in World War II didn't do waterborne invasions in the Philippines--Peleliu was the closest they ever got to our country.
But yeah, EP5 (Peleliu) was a blast. Reminds me a lot of the opening sequence of "Saving Private Ryan", with the exception that they're on LVTs instead of Higgens.

100% sure. No future episodes of "The Pacific" will ever feature major battles in the Philippines.
The following are the only places the US Marine Corps made offensive waterborne landings during World War II in the Pacific Campaign against the Japanese:
1. Guadalcanal
2. Bougainville
3. Tarawa
4. Guam
5. Tinian
6. Saipan
7. Peleliu
8. Iwo Jima
9. Okinawa

R&R at Subic is possible, but doubtful. I'll check my sources.
UPDATE: Just took a peek at "The Pacific" entry at Wikipedia, and here are the remaining episodes:
6 "Part Six" Tony To Bruce C. McKenna, Laurence Andries & Robert Schenkkan April 18, 2010 (2010-04-1![]()
The Marines move to capture Peleliu's vital airfield. Leckie is wounded by blast concussion and evacuated.
7 "Part Seven" Tim Van Patten Bruce C. McKenna April 25, 2010 (2010-04-25)
Sledge and the 5th Marines move into Peleliu's Bloody Nose Ridge to face the Japanese.
8 "Part Eight" David Nutter & Jeremy Podeswa Robert Schenkkan & Michelle Ashford May 2, 2010 (2010-05-02)
Basilone is transferred to the 5th Marine Division and lands at Iwo Jima.
9 "Part Nine" Tim Van Patten Bruce C. McKenna May 9, 2010 (2010-05-09)
Sledge and the 1st Marine Division land at Okinawa.
10 "Part Ten" Jeremy Podeswa Bruce C. McKenna & Robert Schenkkan May 16, 2010 (2010-05-16)
Sledge and Leckie return home after the Japanese surrender.
Basically, the bulk of this miniseries is set in Peleliu, as you can see, Episodes 5,6 and 7 all focus on this tiny wretched island of death. I believe the reason behind this is because Peleliu is "The Forgotten Battle", and many veterans were wishing that there be a film about what happened there during the Peleliu campaign.
There is no mention of Subic nor any location in the Philippines in the upcoming episodes, so I'm willing to bet there will be no Philippine scenes.
And in my opinion, the episodes on Iwo Jima and Okinawa are brief (mao nga taman lang episode 10) because there are already a lot of great movies out there about battles in these places.
