2 - 2 na dallas made only 7 points in the 4th quarter lowest ever

Heat ties the series, 2-2, with a 98-74 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

From what I'm seeing is that the Heat still needs to overcome that 3rd quarter sloppy performance since they gave up much of their turnovers (Heat 18 Dallas 14) when the 2nd half started unto the 4th quarter. Being complacent isn't what this series is all about, and they should start putting their games together.

Players who made a difference were James Posey with 15 points, 10 rebounds and a spark in the defensive part. He was there since the start of the series and never got much credit from the media. But that's part of maturity, and then, getting up from the bench is Shandon Anderson who finished with 2 pts, 5 rebs and 2 assts. And the Miami bench outplayed the Mavs' supporting cast with only Jerry Stackhouse and Adrian Griffin doing their job well.

The Heat made errors and disorientation, and the Mavericks responded with a disappointing 31% FG compared to Miami's 51%. Shot poorly with a 3/22 attempts from the 3-point line to finish with a laughable 13% to Miami's 36%. And was outrebounded 36-48.

I guess that's what Miami is talking about the real Miami team.

home teams are supposed to defend their homecourt and as they say "a series doesn't start before a home team losses a game in their homecourt"...

Dallas' five attempts in the first quarter (4 offensive rebounds) in one possession was indicative of how they would play the whole game missing all 5 of those tries. they had good looks at the basket in the perimeter, in the 3 pt area and even had shots that went in and out of the basket in the first half but they just couldn't convert. I give credit to the Miami Heat's defense but most of the Mavs' shots were uncontested and easy but it just wouldn't fall resulting to just above 30% FG, that's the first time I saw the Mavs shoot this bad the whole regular season and playoffs.. and I've seen each and every one of those games.. just a very lethargic performance by the Mavs.

the winner of game 5 will be a very good indication on who's gonna win this series.. :mrgreen:

Miami clearly outplayed the Mavs on this game, add to that the struggles that Dallas had in their shooting. nothing was going their way, their shots just won't fall. Miami a 44% FG team in the playoffs went off to a staggering 52% clip while the Mavs coming into this game with a 48% FG playoff averages got only 31% FG resulting to a very lopsided win for the Heat 98-74. all this drama makes game 5 more and more exciting.
