I think Manny Pacqiao will be a good president of the Philippines. I think he can run the country. I am sure most of the people will vote for him...maybe not for young professionals- who thinks they are smart.... but for the masses. Imagine a zero crime society?

not exactly a high iq but has made a contribution to knowledge, to the particular field that he was conferred on. No doubt, pacquiao has contributed so much to Philippine Pride and boxing - so give him an award due to the field, not an honorary doctorate in humanities.

mosugot kaha ng mga ateneans, dilimanians, lasallians nga mohatag ug honorary doctorate niya? i do not know, but i really really doubt it.

human kinetics would have been a little acceptable, but humanities?

murag wala nay say say ang pangan nga "Doctor" "honoris causa" or not. when doctorates become cheap.

i see 2 things about this: [1] Pacquiao given the Human Kinetics award and [2] SWU giving him the Humanities award after CHED disapproved their request.

that's the mistake there, it looked like SWU badly wants to hand an award to Pacquiao that it won't matter what award they'd give as long as they can hand out one. ambot unsa kaha ang pangayoon aning SWU kang Pacquiao. kung wa gihapon to giapprove ang Humanities, basin lain to nga award ang gihatag.

Huh? Sure ni? Doctor of Educ or PhD? Doctor of Education is Ed.D. or D.Ed. while Ph.D. is Doctor of Philosophy.

Pacquaio is Honoris causa, Doctor of Humanities.
