Why did they fire the north anyway?

its partly due to a conflict with Blizzard Entertainment's owner. Condor was actually an independent company that Blizzard purchased and was renamed to Blizzard North later on. This company was the one responsible for making the 1st Diablo up to Diablo II. The one who composed the great Tristram music was with North b4.

More like they absorbed them, doh. It's eerily the same tactic that EA uses when they acquire companies: they keep the intellectual properties and tell the rest to bugger off.

Thanks, sasori. EA should go down in smoke (but keep maxis, ganahan pako sa simcity. hehe)! But I won't flame em here. Basta dili lang nila paliton ang vivendi universal (ang parent company sa blizzard) lipay nako. ^.^

as a Diablo fan im happy that finally after 8 years my fave game is back from the grave, i really do impressed with their WWI presentation but im dissappointed/sad how the game now evolve, e.g the inventory now look so WoW (WorldofWarcraft) and it looks more colorful (like dota). and d4mn they changed that Diablo Logo so lame.. cant blame them the guys working on D3 atm are WoW creators, too bad Blizzard North was fired!

you heard it right, theyre the former Blizzard North guys the original developers of Diablo and former high level Blizzard North executives, the company is named Flagship Studios.
