Mga Bro,
Just arrived last Monday 6PM home from our overnight trip to Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort.
Here is how we started our trip, Sunday 4AM we rode an aircon 1st trip bus going Oslob, fare is P138.00, our trip since it was early morning was so fast, it only took 2 Hours and 15 Mins from the City to Oslob the docking area of Sumilon, we go down hill to where the docking area of mainland office of Sumilon is located. We waited till 7AM for the boat of Sumilons' 1st trip going to the island. The boat trip only took 10 mins to cross, we were welcomed by a cold ice tea welcome drinks by the staff, we were also given a nice welcome native shell necklaces. Then we are led to our room, a very wonderful and uniquely designed euro-japanese style or something.
We then had our breakfast, I chose Sumilon Breakfast...it was the best coz it has bacon, veggies, a banana appetizer and the special inun-onan they have.
We had our activities starting 9AM just after breakfast but before that we were given an island orientation by the resort manager Mr. Leo Go, he is a very cool and funny resort manager there, he really takes care of the guests and a manager that would ask very often what you need or what you wanted to do then he advices and crack some jokes.
Activities done: Snorkeling, Lagoon fish feeding, Lagoon kayaking, Scuba Diving in the Marine Sanctuary, skin dipping at the island bar, island trekking and visited the lighthouse and the Baluarte so as the Groto and the Yamashita Cave.
12:00 Noon we had our lunch, a very delicious lunch buffet was prepared for everyone, we enjoyed our meals and refresh ourselves.
2:00 PM more activities like fishing and we did caught a big fish like Mol-Mol coz its very abundant there and we cooked it just were we catched it, we had fishing on the other side of Sumilon they call it the southern tip coz its were the Marine sanctuary is located, actually you can go fishing there as long as it meets the rules, rules are only a maximum of 2 hooks per fisherman or wannabies hehehe..., we bring charcoal, burn the charcoal and sugba the fish fresh from the catch, just don't forget to take out the internals of the fish hehehe... mmmm yummy, we enjoyed eating it and we did brought along some rice with us and an ice bucket and a 1.5 litre coke that we brought from our trip
At night time or dinner we had it in the lagoon with lighted native torches and we had a bone fire. Then we went back to our room watched DVD and then get out late night to do star gazing.
If you guys are planning to get there you may call 032-4810801 and look for Mr. Leo Go, just tell him Louie of CebuPortal.com refered you so that he will take care of you there when you and your friends, family, etc are there.
Hope to be there again soon...
