Vietnam cannot stand a chance against China. Philippines samot. Even if we will organize a resistance movement after the initial invasion ala guerrilla tactics, still, there are so many Fil-Chinese among us that will betray our cause. The US will vacillate and will reply only when they are directly attacked which China will not. They will gobble up everything just like the Germans did to their neighbors in Europe before 1939 as Great Britain just watched. The US will just watch. The UN? All talk.

Why is America not considering the new expanded baselines law as part of the old Mutual Defense Treaty? If they'll include it then we'll have the advantage since we no longer have to worry about our occupied islands because if any aggressor launches an assault on the Spratly's then the U.S will be forced to defend the Philippines from them.

On the other hand, maong magamay-gamay ra ang Pinas kay ang Military budget gamay ra kaayo, consider it receiving only 0.9 percent of the national budget. We have a large human resource, we have the capability to make our military strong enough to defend us from external threats, it's just that they are receiving very little sum of money to upgrade, improve and expand their capabilities. Would they fight China and Vietnam's new aircrafts with Bronco's? World War II era ships and Marcos' era tanks and land assault weapons? We sure aren't facing just mere separatist rebels but strong countries capable of confronting us direct from our claimed islands.

well, if anything goes wrong na kaning China mag ulo2x ug panguha ug territory ila gi angkun... We will just see it ang pressure buhaton sa International Community along with UN.. tagaan ug ultimatum plus economic sanctions... tan-awon nato kung ma kaya ba nila...

anyway, China is now more on being capitalist naman, na tagam na sila sa panahon nilang Mao Zedong... pretending Communist na sila karon..

That's the problem for China. International embarrassment for using force to claim territories of other countries. Especially nga currently incapable jud ang China to prop a war with the U.S. Maybe a few more years then pwede na sila makasukol. But in any case, it's better if we prepare ourselves for these threats especially that oil prices are getting higher and getting lower in volume. It will have to find ways to scour the Spratly's to fuel it's gigantic economy which might make it use force to claim their islands in the Spratly's.
