some pre-spanish history.
It's really interesting, nindot basahon. Sama ni Bro. Sugbuni mo-request pud ko sa Pre-Spanish era, kay I think the colorful history of Cebu does not begin with the Spanish Colonization only. Nindot unta TS kon imo ma-feature ang history about Bantayan, Daan Baantayan ug anang Fort San Pedro. TIA
If only gitudlo ni nga history sa atong skwelahan. kanang in-depth jud instead of focus kaayo ta sa National History. Naa pa lng local history sa ato HS. correct me if i'm wrong kay based on what i remember, wala mi matudlui ani sa school. or basin nagbulakbol lng ko sa pagskwela. haha. idk
Wow! NiceI'm not Cebuano but I love Cebu.
Thanks for sharing.
sometimes i wonder why dli ingon ani ka detalyado ang discussing sa history textbook and sa class room sa una sa akong panahon, (basin absent ko or wla naminaw lol). i never learned that Aguinaldo was implicated in Bonifacio's and his cousin's(or brother. nka limot ko) death. Asta pud nang kang Leon Kilat. Thanks TS.
there are still a lot of debates regarding our history because some accounts are either exaggerated and overblown, or missing some detials.
Even Bonifacio's more publicized image as the bolo welding with trousers rolled up to his knees and his upper shirt revealing his chest and rolled up sleeves, and barefoot is just a typical "hero" packaging.
And I recall that textbook in my elementary days the cited Jose Rizal and his family to be poor and yet they have a servant and a cook.
Being a Cebuano and lovin it...i really really like this thread... Thanks TS... Subscribe mode ta karon...![]()
