rodsky : 7/10 (ambot if ako ra ba nakabantay or nakafeel nga super strict lang jud ang science forum) pero naa sad siyay point, sobra lang jud pagka strict ang rules, nya bias gamay(gamay lang jud hehe).
Sige lang mo'g balik-balik ug term nga "bias". This is actually a very broad term--can you please define a situation wherein you think a mod is actually "biased"? I want to know, because I want to point out a problem with this concept of "bias".
There is actually a problem with the word "bias" in an internet forum. First, let us check the definition of bias, that is in context to what we want to know about:
bias : an inclination of temperament or outlook; especially : a personal and sometimes unreasoned judgment : prejudice
Ergo, when talking about bias, there are usually two sides, because one would get accused of being biased towards one of these side. Now, let's talk about an internet forum like the iStorya.net boards--the moderators are there to enforce rules and keep the boards clean. So meaning, ang usual nga duha ka sides in the matter is a) Will I enforce rules? or b) Will I relax the rules? And natural, since ang mod DAPAT man dyud mag enforce ug rules, then naturally he/she will select option "a", to which i-accuse na dayon siya of being biased, nga all he/she is doing is just trying to enforce the rules, and have elected not to relax the rules?
As regards to the Science subforum being strict, it's because science is strict--that's why it still exists as the basis of everyday modern life. Live with it.
