Accdg to my research, polymer banknotes are 2x more expensive than paper ones..the fact that it is made from plastic and lasts longer than paper, then it should be more expensive than paper..
well theres such thing as hybrid polymer banknote a mixture of paper and plastic banknote, basin mao na ang what they called as hygienically treated.

polymer banknote is better cause its much harder to counterfeit esp kung naay transparent window ang banknote. it is much durable.. the average life of a low denomination paper banknote is what 6 months compared to pila ka years with polymer banknote, magsige print ug paper banknote ang CB. plus it is recyclable, ang paper banknote they burned it when they lost their durability.

surely the benefits will outweigh the costs.

well paper banknote is also made up of cotton and/or textile. if the new banknotes is like the US dollar then mas expensive, the US dollar uses a special kind of cotton paper.

another advantage pud na ang polymer banknote ma-erase yung mga vandals, washable kaayo much harder pud bya mag suwat sa plastic banknote.

but yet again wa pa ako ka hold sa new banknotes, maybe pwede na.. wa man kaha kaayo budget poor Philippines.
