    They have the one-child policy, so population is a problem, and their leaders understand it well. Think about it this way: All the Chinese family income goes into the development of one child whereas the typical pinoy family has to support 4 kids. What's the future of those kids going to be like, when most families here can barely send even one of them to college? Most end up being just high school grads and work menial, low-paying dead-end jobs. In the meantime Chinese families with just one child can afford to give their kid a master's degree or a PhD so he can help design and build cars, planes and everything else they make in China or create more jobs for other Chinese. These are just average people given the best possible opportunities. There is nothing the Chinese can do that we can't, but they are given all the tools they need to succeed. We have a huge problem with malnutrition and even our massive rice imports are not enough to feed everyone. So tell me again that population doesn't matter. The Chinese know it matters, and they did something a long time ago we might consider drastic, but in their view was necessary. The results vindicate them and make us look like losers.

    In Dubai they have free education and large subsidies for the natives up until college. It wouldn't be possible to do this if they had even 2x the population that they have now, despite their oil wealth. Philippines has been expanding at a pace that far exceeds our infrastructure and this can't keep going on. I think the latest report says 3 of 4 families already unable to eat three meals a day.

    totally agree w/ RMK711. Even china admit its problem w/ its population thru its one-child policy.

    look at those pinoys nga naa sa laing nasud, diba kasagaran sa ila ky mo sunod jud sa law ky dili mn gud ilang country.

    daghan bitaw ta og law but kuwang lang jud sa strict implementation. mao ng most of us ky magsalig na lang nuon. unya ang justice dinhi sa pinas ky para ra sa mga datu.

    before comparing two or more countries with their material
    resources, we need to consider also the culture and the
    character of people;

    and of course, the seat of government or background of
    the country, and their economy.

    we don't have concrete criteria to compare dubai and
    pinas.

    For me naa sd jud na sa Leader.. Like Mahathir bin Mohamad of Malaysia, Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore. ug kaning manga tawhan ug ga binoang pani cla during their term d sd ni mahitsura ila nasud krn..

    Kadtong ni resign si mahathir as prime minister kay gi pul-an na cya, ang mga malay pa ang ga hilak kay d jud cya pa naugon sa pwesto. pero atong mga leader, bisan klaro na kaau ang mga anomaliya, magpaka buta bungol ra. mga baga au ug nawng. kita malas lang jud ta kay naka leader ta ug mga mapahimoslanon sa gahom. nya kasagaran sd nato magpatonto sa bayad ini ug election. Basta lang maka kwarta, bahala na ug magkayamokat ang agi sa leader.

    For me ug tan-aw lang jud sa taw nga maau ang leader nya kahadlokan sd nga tinarong, mo tuman man jud na ang tanan ba. nya ang krn nga leader nato kay hin-hin ra au. murag walay iya baroganan.

    Section 2. In Singapore, one of the many qualifications of running for president is ..."must be a CEO or Chairman of the Board of a registered company with a paid-up capital of at least S$100M...."

    Sa 'pinas, mas taas pa qualification ang janitor kay at least college level...
