I actually agreed on my teacher's opinion that this is a ridiculous notion about ourselves.....

When the point that we need other people to sustain our existence is truly stupid... if i went to the office, and there were lots of people there, then I exist... if i then go home.. and if there lives only me in that house... then I do not exist.. because nobody is there to acknowledge my existence....
