Well for me religion is not the cause of killings, chaos, war, etc. It's the sin and evil that human inherited from our forefathers. It's in our blood. Not even religion can take it out from us but HE can.

if there is heaven, then there is no "life" there.
Because it is too boring to live.
Imagine living in a place where every one is good and predictable.
Everyone follow the rules.
It would be like living in a futuristic robot land.
Everyone is happy. No one feels pain or sadness.
It looks like they are all in drugs or something.
How would you appreciate that?

Actually, if you study human behavior in an organization (HBO),
you will find that there are different motives for different people.
And these motives affects their behavior.
These motives also depends on their level of intelligence.
In short, if your motive is money and personal needs then your intelligence is at the lowest level.
If your intelligence is at its highest level then religion would not be your driving motive any more.
Because, new ideas and principles motivates intelligent people..

funny indeed. now, think about it again. funny, right?

my favorite example: prophet samuel commanding saul to obliterate the amalekites, including women, children and livestock (yes livestock. damn you sheep you sinners, you!). saul disobeyed and samuel killed the enemy king himself, after condemning saul's crown. do i believe god really commanded that? nope, but samuel did. that's what religion does. this is a very old story, that kept happening all throughout history, even now. that's what religion does. accuse god of everything.

you'd be quick to point out of course that in the NT there are no more killings. love is the new way. look up armageddon then and see how much love is supposed to go round in the future .. even if it won't happen, for a prophet of god to write things like that .. jeez sick minds those people had.
