If anyone would read my reply in another thread...i was more shocked that we really care about this issue that the insult itself. I mean, there are more important issues that we should put our attention to...corruption, smuggling, murder...etc. That's why i consider this much attention very pathetic.

And i disagree with spoil when he said that we have high literacy rate. From Macapagal's time, there is actually a dramatic decline in our literacy. Our number one school based on Asian survey is UP Diliman and it only ranks 75th in Asia. More people keeps failing in IELTS every year...

What im trying to say is...we should move on and get over ourselves. Dili ni importante!
I got your point ma'am. but others see it very important, our national pride and those stuffs, if we allow them to bully us, they will keep on doing so until such time the name Philippines will be equal to stupidity and all negativism.
UP could be rank 75th in Asia because the way they rank schools is not limited only to student performance but it includes facilities ma'amm, how then can we compete with those? but for the very little (resources) we have we were able to produce better professionals. we are the number one migrant asians in the world, everywhere our services are needed. be it as domestic helpers, construction, factory workers up to professionals in the field of media, health care, education, IT, performing arts, etc. truly you cannot deny that we are gifted people with great talents .

you have a point there, lets put our acts together and show them what we got and at the same time standing firm with our integrity and honor as a nation intact, and that includes not allowing anyone, even the Americans to use our nation or our President as a reference to negativism in the name of commercial gain.

also as individuals of this country let us stop putting down ourselves and believing the foreigners on what they have to say about us. but instead start on believing on ourselves that in our own little wasy we can make a change starting from within.

actually there is. a public apology was given by abc already. to me that is admission of mistakes, this will no longer be a precedent of more bullying from arrogant people

Part of this was the cheating on the Nursing Boards last year ... the comments shows that US is "cautious" admitting medical practitioners or even other professions since that fiasco..Or the scriptwriter knows of the existence of shops in Recto nga maghimo og transcript og Diploma ..apil passport..in matter of hours...

Dont blame Terry or ABC, blame our government here instead, they just gave the DH scriptwriter something to write to make fun out of us....
how bout we take this as positive criticism and build around this, not by protesting and demand an apology..OA ra kaayo ta..
