starcraft campaign fanatic sad ko! must have played it 20x in a span of 5 years! lolz! the campaign also made me decide my main race which is protoss... i just love honor and dignity till death ( a dying breed ) !

can't wait for the story line of starcraft 2! mwahahahahahahaha!

one thing to note though is that the original creators of the game isn't with blizzard anymore... so i'm just wondering how that fact would affect this game...

also, blizzard hired a "game developer" of some sort like 6-12 months ago... one of the neccessary requirements for such a position was a "competitive" skill at blizzard's rts games (wc3 and sc-brood war). with this said, game play and balance shouldn't be much of an issue in a couple of years or so. many starcraft brood war communities think so too.

A lot indeed left, even Bill Roper, but just like with WC3, according to the Battle.net forums, some programmers are still with the company. I dont know if its the lead ones or just the minor ones... but hey, its Blizzard, I have faith in them. They rather cancel their own game than release a crappy product.

well if there is a new race, maybe it's only playable on campaign mode..

i just browsed through some shots at youtube for SC2. now i can't wait to put my hands on those...

another thing to note:

blizzard started developing the game just after they released wc3-TFT. this gives us a hint that at least this game wasn't just develop for a year or so giving it a bigger chance of having great quality.

regarding a 4th race:

blizzard didn't make them. the community believes so. the main focus of the game was game play and balance. such a thing required them 6 years or so to do in sc-brood war which only had 3 races. if you had 4, how long would that take? it's mainly a game for competitive gaming. the single player or campaigns are what they are working on last (currently developing it as of Blizzard Wordwide Invitational).

as to questions regarding its release:
Blizzards answer, "We will release it when it's ready!". -----------> dugaya pa kaha ani oiz!

yeah, i read it's already playable on multiplayer. so maybe MeMing is right about the 4th race being too much work to implement, in fact, that's what i said a few posts ago. hehe.
But i still hope there is a new race, at least on campaign.

blizzard already anounced that there will be no new race. IMHO i think because of the drawback it may have if they make it into 4 races. every race need atleast 1 advantages and disadvantages to one another and 3 races is enough to balance the game.
