for those planning to visit cambodia from thailand, beware sa mga mangingilad, hinuon naa man gyud tingale na bisan asa upon entry naay mosogat na cambodian that will lead you to a trap. from what ive seen i think apil ang some border officials sa modus. good thing we went along with the white tourists. avoid hand over of passport unless tua na gyud sa counter para sa entry/exit stamp. part of the trap is a section of immigration office will hold the passport and lukaton effect ang labas....luoy intawn tong grupo nabiktima. cambodia is a poor country (well of pa ang pinas) so swerte lang tingale gihapon ta mga filipinos malas kung maapsan unya ta hinuon sa cambodia puhon sa ilang streets toyota cars halos tanan and lexus for the wealthy. cambodia is a one dollar country kay taga lihok $1 bisan small local bottled water in siem reap. di man strict and actually easy ra ang entry to cambodia be it coming from vietnam or thailand. ilang food medyo sweet tasting nya naa sila didto anchor milk and anchor beer as in

travelling to these places is very affordable, murag ang hurdle lang is departing pnas kay mahal plete but if your budget permits and naa mo time, do try to have an adventure there guys and gals! angkor wat is amazing!

No, you dont need prior visa. When I went there last September (by land from Bangkok) I was given 21-day visa at the border. It was very easy, mahaba lang ang linya sa immigration. They take the asean membership seriously. When I showed them my Philippine passport (Thai border) I was given bus fare discount. The transportation was cheap (200 baht from bangkok to border and 8 USD from Cambodian border to Siem Reap (Angkor wat). The thai roads are superb, but in camboadia, its dirt road for most part. Expect to huddle in cramped vans with european and american backpackers. They are all over the place.
