i write programs so i guess im a programmer but for sure im not good in math hehe ^_^
It depends on the situation. Sometimes only Logic , flow , Algorithm just to meet the objectives of your program. Sometimes your sub scripts / functions will do the math for you.
When it comes to solving numbers, You brains are needed an apply your arithmetic knowledge.
@personalmgt
Ask me to solve a really complex equation on a paper and I will more likely not finish solving it. Ask me to solve it in C or Perl and I might solve it in minutes
Just my point[/QUOTE]
that is your point bro? i may disagree..
try a program using geometric elements(CIP: sine/cosine/tangent/cotangent etc)..LOL..
naa koy mga classmates before na maau kaau sa math na mga babaye... as in maau jud. pero nangahagbong ra sa among course sayang kaau...
there is no such thing as "bogo" i believe..its a matter of studying..
math: you study the number problem, then you solve it.do the solving until you get it..mathematicians do..
programming: you study the problem, then code it..do debug until you get it..programmers do.
patience is a tool..use it.
CIP:
my first exp in ASSEMBLY language was too difficult for me..studying until i get it makes it easy.
if you are good in math, definitely there is a big advantage when the program involves computations... but not all programs involve computations. most people good in math are also good in logic, which allows them to understand programming concepts... but programming is not limited to logic only. so i think those good in math will have a good chance of doing well in programming, but those really good in programming are not necessary limited to those who are good in math.
