if the greater population of Christianity or the most people of the world, have come to associate the Christ as Jesus Christ, then so be it. it's actually fine. because the man called Jesus actually deserved to be called the Christ. if most people have come to accept it as his family name, then so be it. because there was only one Christ during Jesus' lifetime. and it was Jesus Christ.
BUT, i'd like to say something which would rather shake your cherished beliefs, but please indulge me for just a moment, for i don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone, but rather i just want to share to you what i know. here it is: Christ is actually not a name, but rather a title meaning the "anointed one." the word is actually Greek, Cristos, which means the anointed one. it is synonymous with the Hebrew word, Meshiya or Messiah, which also means the anointed one.
AND, there have been other Christs before. even the king David was once called David Christ during ancient times.
this is what i know.

you're not helping, mr.regnauld. we are not here to challenge him, them, or anyone who may be fanatically/passionately attached to their religion or those who disbelieve in a Deity. instead, let us just share to them what we know. it's up to them if they choose to accept and learn more OR not. still, we are not in the principle of proving them wrong.
can't find the difference between Christ and THE Christ eh.. hehehe
