ok ra bya ng e close/locked ang topic..

ang problem is "pakapinan man gud istorya" sa moderator....istorya nga nindot paminawn sa dungan..

gi duot naka paubos... gi duot pajud ug tiwas...

instead of saying it in a nice way(respect)...there juz trashing like trashing a garbage...

how cum maka respect ang member ang mod waman sad batasan....

em sick about the statement "dli lalim mag moderator"

solution is.. if u cant handle it then resign...simple as that..

you really think moderators are that stupid, don't you? i reckon you also think the admins would be so stupid to appoint moderators who are irresponsible. we are bound by rules when performing our duties. the same is true with members when posting!

we respect freedom of speech here but please don't abuse it.

earlz: Moderators might share a certain dislike of a certain people, but we wouldn't go as far as to make sabot to clearly abuse a voting system that was meant to help us.

I personally like how this thread has turned out. Just because I argue my point doesn't mean I don't learn from what has been said.

on the next updates moderators will have direct access to ban members through a "voting count system"--we just click to vote. we'll still be equal, that will always hold true. But to members: pretty soon it when updates will have been completed these rules will be very easy to shove down throats.

this can be a pretty BIASED system if ma ban ang member sa pag vote lang. ok ra nga voting pero what if the moderator(s) take it personally..nya sabotan.. go ko aning Voting system, but still the Admins have the final judgement kung dapat ba e ban ang ka2ng voted member.. as whats said here sa forums.. a moderator is no form higher than a member. they just have more duties.

you also might've taken n'gel's words too literally. How about an analogy to clear things up: civilians and police officers have equal rights as human beings, though at times a police officer must exercise additional rights given to him to keep his neighborhood the way it's supposed to be.

Also Earlz, we already have a similar voting system right now. Not as automated as we'd want but close. It goes like this: a moderator posts a username that he recommends for ban. Moderators will review that members' posts and will post 2nds if they agree that the member be banned. Admin does his 3-clicks-of-bannishment supermove (lol beor).

Now you've had some heat with Vern, me, i dunno if you had one with chronnus, or visualC#. My point is--if you think we are capable of such things then don't you think we would've banned you already? think about it man.

mao na akong psabot, ang admin ra gihapon mao maka execute sa ban.. not the moderators alone. i dunno if gi consider ba2 nimo ug heat atong issue sauna coz i never considered it to be one.. kang vern it think it was only twice out of those that you might think nga heated arguments. coz i dont really take posted messages sa forums that personally, most of the time mag ka tawa rako then mag himo ug palagot nag post. as for chronus weve been friends diri sa istorya for quite some time and i think think mag ka away gyud me coz maayo man cya mo dala ug taw and we never had a heated argument, for visualC wla ko hbaw morag wla man koy na recall nga we discussed something. and for all the offense ive done i dont think ive reached the point nga dapat ko e ban permanently from this board. altho i was banned for 24 hours para dli mo samot ang gubot, coz there are times nga tunod a moderator nga mejo personaly na kaayo ang reply sa mga post.

so to clear things up im wla koy idea unsay solod ana inyong moderators forums so i didnt know nga still c beor ang mo buhat sa final action para ma ban gyud ang members. i only thought nga the new system would be for moderators to vote then automatic ban na sa system.. no need for beor to review the case or even click to ban a member.. mao na ni comment ko, pero its already the system inyong gi gamit nga still ang admins mo buhat sa final action, so mao rana.

just for reference regarding what i considered as heated arguments namo ni vern was the A64 thread and the console thread. the other threads i really didint consider heated..

as para imo ZN, i cant really recall when we had a heated discussion, unless imo tong gi consider ka2 nga incident nga ni YIM ka nako.. pero i never considered that heated.

and just to add i only hated 2 members diri sa istorya, one was a former "authority" and the 2nd one is a rich kid who thinks he really knows everything ( not worth saying the name, panagsa ra sad kaayo mo post diri )

and just to be honest, wla ko mag dumot nimo nor ni vern, but if you guys still hold a grudge coz you hate my guts, then wla nakoy ma buhat ana its not my loss anyway

RE: last post. Well you need not worry about the system as of now--it's perfectly fine as it is--just less automated.
RE: heat.. something sure led me to YIM instead of PM. that i considered heat. as with other encounters you might have had with other mods.. vern i know you've had some. For the other two.. maybe i was mistaken, i said i wasn't sure anyway.

RE: you not holding grudges. Neither do we. Some might be a little stern after an encounter but you can't really blame a guy for wearing cups after getting kicked in the nuts, right?

You might have had a point. Though right now it's going around in circles. We (moderators) are only human beings, true. Unless you're God you're bound to make the a mistake soon enough, right--no matter how honest or wise we are? But aren't admins human beings too? Subject to the same flaws? Subject to the same BIAS you suggest. I'm Beor's son's godfather--so is Crashburn and Chronnus. godmothers: Aphrodite and Pitsay. Why can't people just say "Ingon ana sad na siya". Ngano man diay ug dawaton na lang sa mga members nga ingon ana gyud nang ubang moderators and there's nothing anybody can do to change it. Like me, ingon ani gyud ko, daghan na sad ko nakasumpaki nga members diri sa Istorya, in fact, there were a group of velezians who left Istorya because of a very heated issue with me. Ang issue? Gihimong chatroom ang forum. Makalagot man gud common sense, simple ra kaayo ang rules, then ug moviolate! Badlungon masuko! Sa ka simple sa rules and considering nga tuga-tuga ug apil ani nga boards, pindot sa "I Agree" button, buot pasabot nakasabot sa rules and members are supposed to follow those rules. Alangan what do you expect from us moderators? Be super nice everytime? Let's just face it, there are people (moderators) who have high expectations sa forumers. Dili na ni nato i complicate ning issue diri. For me, one thing is realized. Not all moderators are the same, lain-lain mi ug style, and we don't need rules to abide to coz the admins trust us. Wala gyud na gi-encourage nga mag uniform mi ug style, nga mura ming mga robot when it comes to moderating, we have our own touch. Dili gani mo ka-take sa style sa usa ka mod, aw LIKAYI!

The issue here is not how people take it ... I could care less. Cry me a river for all I care. The issue here is that people seem to think that moderating has any connection with our own personal posts. Although personal opinions and ethics might guide a moderator in how they moderate, the moderation itself is based on the rules.

you're saying that you don't care how people take it? people are reading the posts, people are reacting to them and how we see or take things is how each topic goes on, diba?

here's something else. what if kung mu post ang usa ka mod, saying something as a moderator, inyong e assign ug certain color ang text pero if personal opinion lang or comment, di lang. would that be helpful? could that be done?

This is on par with "ngano dili man mi ninyu e message?". Another "service" that we have to offer because a simple message like I gave Paklay's post that was locked wasn't enough for him

i wonder why it's a lot easier for you to comment on how a member posts or how some of us sugar coat our posts or how we make it vague than to simply color to the post to indicate whether or not you're posting as a mod or as a regular member...

and besides. that's just a suggestion. if you guys don't like it, then that's ok. i'm cool with it.


ako, kasabot man ko na each individual has their own thing. if ana xa, ana xa. but that doesn't mean they can go scare members away...
