yup. i shared tons of deals i found on our Facebook group. unfortunately, the ones that i have been waiting for, those that had killer deals last year esp. Audeze and Sennheiser did not have one this year. last time i did not have budget, karon na nuon na nangandam ta wa na hinuon hahaha

Wow... The master has spoken...

the 701/702 lacks bass, although the mids are nice..

Sakto gyud Master C'thulhu, no good lows but the mids are very good & articulate. The velour ear pads looks the same w/ the 7xx & it doesn't quite stick to the ear surrounding thats why thumbs down for the comfort fit for this cans & very plasticky materials

@at_sunset_blvd: Sir, apil nya sa next meet nato even if you wont stay long gud in case you need to go early hehe.. I know you got some nice portable amps to share and some cans that you don't mind sharing too puyde gani sad ang venue nato para more private and safety kay sa imong humble music station there on the pix above and we'll surely bring all our gadgets that we have and we'll all be in bliss world for sure.

Got a chance to audition yesterday the HD800, LCD-X, HD600 on the DX90/PB2. As I was in a hurry, I got only abt 30 mins to try all those cans. EH incidentally got no HD650 & LCD-2 that time. I would have loved to compare the 600 with the 650 albeit I know well the 650, a side by side compare would have been better.
I can say that I didn' t like the HD800 perhaps because the PB2 was set to 0 gain. I could have done a better HD800 listening if I have time to change to mid or high gain on the amp. The LCD-X was easy to fall in love with. It was something different. It even doesn't need any amping as it sounded already so nice on just the DX90 alone. After all it was just a 20 ohm HP.
Self was totally immersed on my listening with the LCD-X when the store clerk signaled that my phone is ringing. Guess who was calling me? It was a nice sounding voice from a lady of Metrobank informing me that they will issue me a platinum CC no questions asked. Talk abt telemarketing . Funny becoz I didn't sign up for one though. I politely turned down their offer advising them i have in fact closed my previous platinum account because they kept on upping the ceiling despite my written advise to maintain my ceiling
Long story short, I went out the door with nothing in my hands.

But I feel in love with the LCD-X really.

nice bai! you didn't audition the XC? I personally think its the best of the Audeze line. Also i think the HD800 is very picky and deserves a true desktop amp to really show its true colors. Many portable amps may have enough "power" but the "synergy" just isn't there.

If there's one thing I learned from the guys at Egghead esp Rico, it doesn't really matter what setup you have its all about the pairing
