PS3 versus Xbox 360 versus Wii

@darkwing: and without a doubt, I bet you played PC version Halo all by yourself right? No Live? It's hard to explain..as the ninja (askaninja.com) put's it..it's like explaining FF8 to a lemon. lol. You just can't..and it's not the lemon's fault..Nor the Ninja's..it's just not possible.

Oh yes, I will still be grabbing a PS3 for some of those game titles (except FFXIII which in my opinion, the series has totally lost it's taste) and for just out of sheer TECHNOLUST. It is unfortunate that some better games are tied to the unit (PS3) that clearly reeks of "Eau de Money Better Spent Elsewhere". Alas, for me, it shall mean gritting my teeth as I spend another $600 for just a couple of games when I've already nestled sweetly in the thoughts of a Wii60 combo. Curse my technolust.

As for darkwing: Try reading through a couple of 360 titles that are still incoming.. and try to relate it to xbox live.. (most xbox players think it's half of what the xbox is about..i personally disagree but yeah it does make for some interesting gaming hours).

I honestly, cannot believe that you will so easily be able to shun a 360 game. Even a non-exclusive game like figt night 3 is given a completely different feel on a different console.
For starters try to check out these titles:
Gears of War,
Lost Planet,
Splinter Cell 4 (though if you're a MG fan boi you'd probably disagree on this one),
Frame City Killer (i'm not so sure about gameplay but the check out the sprawling city),
Blue Dragon (from Square Enix's Hironobu Sakaguchi),
Dead Rising (chainsaws are old...gimme a cash register!),
Too Human (man, hope this really comes out...damn..so much action)
Resident Evil 5.. (yet more Jap support)

On a related note, the house were MasterChief was made "Microsoft" - will be bringing "Live Anywhere" on PC this 2007. Its a similar service of its Console Brethrern "Xbox Live" like matchmaking/buddylist services & more; Corss-Platform support for "Live Anywhere" means - you'll be able to keep track on your console buddies on your PC, & you'll be able to play each other in certain games & vice versa.

Microsoft is busy preparing a certification system for 3rd-party developers to ensure Live compatability. This will be a great fragfest for PC & Xbox 360 Owners. :mrgreen:

Well Xbox isnt the first device to have an online service so why are people considering it that sony copied the idea from xbox. if we are talking about the idea of online service and gaming then xbox merely coppied the very first electronic device that had online gaming capabilities.. or am i missing something here??

^^Microsoft never claimed the Xbox had the first online multiplayer capability on a console . I recall the Sega Dreamcast had an online capability on a 56k modem. To Microsoft's credit though, they were the first to offer a successful 'centralized' online service on a console.

As for Sony copying Live. Well that's just the fanbois taunting at Sony. And Sony can only blame themselves for lack of originality and creativity. They basically mimicked the best thing bout the Wii (motion sensitive), and the great online Live service from Microsoft, attached them both on the PS3 and then told the whole world that what they are doing is revolutionary.

Hmmm... for me its all about the games, yet just recently, I've lost interest in the PS3. That SONY spokesperson should be fired for being too arrogant claiming you won't need a PC when you've got a PS3. But I'll still be getting one in the future though, well, mostly because of MGS4. But I'll still wait for the system to become really cheap. I've read the list of games posted there and there were only 4 or maybe 5 games I'd probably buy. Oh and the motion sensitive thing that they just recently added to their controllers, won't even be revolutionary. Basically, SONY's just ripping off ideas. It'll probably only be able to do tilt games like monkey ball. But I may be wrong, we'll see this Nov. But I'll definitely be getting me a Wii, Zelda all the way... and a beefed up PC, heheheh. IMO, gamewise, Wii>PS3. I've never been an admirer of the XBOX, but X360, well, I've seen more promising games on it than on a PS3, so maybe I'll get one too.

geezzz stop it with the ripping of ideas, everyone copied from 3DO for using the CD format for games, before it was all catridges, all game consoles are just ripping off 3DO!!!!!
