Na a kabalo asa ila job fair diri cebu? Gi Advertise man 2 sa sunstar but wala gi post ang location...already submitted my resume sa ila website.
there's only one place for their job fair and it's in their building. ila gyud giusab ila website that you have to appear personally.
bai, its not fair if we will bad mouth this company..If di ka madawat ayaw pamugos..if offeran ka ug gamay ayaw kasuko..
I agree with this. The applicant has an option to decline the offer if it doesn't meet with his/her standards. Anyway Accenture is not the only company that can offer better opportunities and pay. I know Accenture will offer higher pay if they really want the applicant to be a part of their team.Originally Posted by elle_beck
i don't see how getting a job offer with low figures from a questionable company is fair and us getting pissed at them isn't. wa ko kasabot diin mo ana nga reasoning bai. Preha ra ka ga ingon nga kung gikawatan ka ayaw kasuko. We have every right to be pissed. read around in other posts asking about a certain company. ana gyud na para ma aware ang mga applicants if they are willing to risk it or not.Originally Posted by ant0n!

Ummm... Confession. bai, me and my colleagues were betting on the fact nga gamay sila mo sweldo. This isn't just a single company bet. This was a NATIONWIDE bet with 6 acquainted participants. 2 from Cebu and 4 from Manila. One was a foreigner that we just made up just to prove dunay colonial mentality ana nga company. (this is part of the factor in choosing a company as well. Kanang dili KISS-ASS ug Amerikano) We went through the entire recruitment process with ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of working for them. We just wanted to put the bet in motion.Originally Posted by elle_beck
The results?
I was one of those who got hired. Ang sweldo mo net ra ug 1k ra gidagdag sa akong current sweldo. Dili pa dagdag. But I lost this bet coz expecting ko dako. Nakabangka nuon ko ug usa ka case sa redhorse. toink! LOL. What really pissed me off was that they put me through enough interviews that I swore I was being considered for a CEO position. Hahah... mura raba unsa ka ngilngig na ako position Software Engineer raba and I have to submit myself to a barrage of interviews with the same questions all over again. Stereotyping ni but I'm stuck with a mindset that the simpler your job the simpler the interview process. Leads, Managers and above are subject to more scrutiny in competence and psychological thoughts.
The fictional American applicant was, in fact, the first to be called. Nagkatawa lang mi sa kabuang ani nila. This was the first bet that was satisfied. I won this one. Basta kasagaran pinoy nga company tila gyud sa lubot dayon basta foreigner. Told them "You can't afford me." then hung up. Nagemail pa nga "we really need your skills". Replied to them "there are other filipino colleagues with far better skills than I have and you can't even pay them a decent salary." :P
Well i guess that's already a fact in the Phils. If you're not an expat or manager, expect a not so decent salary. They are taking advantage of the skills of the locals. That's the reason why some pinoys, like mga IT, preferred to work abroad to have a decent pay. Pero that's the reality na.Originally Posted by tokidoki

IT professionals in the Phils is i think 1st or 2nd in Asia na barato kaayo ang sweldo based from a realiable survey. Hahay.....
Yah, but let's all be careful. China is a force to be reckoned with - LITERALLY. Considering the labor costs are WAAAAY cheaper and the population is enough to drown us all if they piss in unison. LOL
In contradiction, let's all thank our lucky stars that Pinoys have the colonial mentality that they accepted the English language during the American occupation in WWII. Korea, Japan and China were very patriotic to their customs and their language that they rejected English in their studies. That's the only ace we have up our sleeves. Kai if pa ngilngigay sa IT ang India gyapon but again, English is the hindrance. If mass production, China, again, English is our edge. Americans prefer us because our English is more comprehensible than anywhere else in Asia.
silent-kill, i dont have the actual contract yet since the JO will be this january... their outsourcing operation will start this february...why man duha2x ka apply? its one of the biggest companies in the philippines... dont you just want to be part of 'em? :P
