Nothing could stop Mayor Tom from what he is doing whether he is wrong or who is right...only Governor Gwen made Tommy take an about face about the school building issue. So our Honorable Mayor finally found his match. :mrgreen:

What's happening now is just pure power play. One (TO) acting on his innate vindictiveness without the benefit of legal and moral guidance... ergo the tsunami of enraged comments from all sectors on such a merciless directive. And for what? Just for a mere accusation by way of a little play of words hoisted upon him during the hotly contested campaign period... would that be reprehensible enough to yank off a school project? Knowing fully well who would suffer more yet crossing his fingers hoping the people of Lahug would turn their hatred to MDLS. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out that somehow this ploy would boomerang and he'd do a 360 on this... and surely (as it is now part of history) he did!

The dumbfounded city council who initially said they'd just leave it all to the mayor are now taking all the credit on being the ones to have convinced TO to take back his misguided reprisal.

As for Gwen, siguro guided by her politically savvy father, she has taken advantage of the whole brouhaha and made a positive move by her generous donation. TO may might as well take on her cue. Instead of doing something destructive why not do something constructive. More projects! Daghan pa ang malipay. Nganong naa man gyuy paantuson? Why? Why? o Why?

It is just my fervent wish that after all is said and done, after the smoke has cleared from all the bashing between these two feuding political luminaries, that somehow in one way or another, WE the Cebuanos will still benefit something in the aftermath.

Last time we heard, MDLS was very adamant about her principles... and now She is willing to reconcile with TOM..

But TOM said “I don’t deal with people who are dishonest. This is not the first time she lied and I can expect it won’t be the last�..

I think they should stop it.. election is long over and time to move on, forget their differences and work together for the betterment of the City... murag lisod ning mahitabo dah...

I know Tomas will eventually do the reconstruction. I find it very childish because giinvolve nya ang mga bata sa ila political feud. To think na last term na ni Tomas nya humana ang elections.hehehe. Anyway, humana btaw 2.
