I bought my wii from a friend and its a japan unit so maglisod ko ug sabot sa iya configuration. had it hardmodded at itech for 2k++. So pwede nako maka play ug downloaded games.
Usually I just insert the gamedisk and play, never tried using any features aside from gamedisks.
***Question is : why is it that some of my games won't even start...mu black lang ang screen and then nothing happens. mu pili lagi sya ug game.... disappointing kau ni nga problem kay some of those games that won't play are the ones i would really love to play. i need help here, if anyone is knowledgeable about this issue, please explain or maybe solve my problem then bayran lang nako...basin naa ni cya solution... i hope. If wala gyud solution, i think i will have to sell it nalang...![]()
Itech can't solve ana? I brought my old wii sa ila which I bought from them since 2007 ug dili na pud sila ganahan moayo. Papaliton ra ko nila ug bag-o. Anyway, we were already mistakenly gifted 2 Christmases ago with another Wii. The old wii kay mo-andar ra siya tanan but without audio lang gyud. Mao pud na ako problem like yours on the new virgin wii. I had to install Darkcorp na lang kay I have more or less 70 DVDs already. I don't want to buy another HDD just yet or convert all the DVD's to iso. Maybe my 40 GB HDD setup is not compatible. USB Loading is already the norm na diay karon so gamay ra tingali problems kay ako old hard-modded wii kay absolutely reliable man gyud as in zero problems even up to the latest 2011 games. DVD-loading using Darkcorp is sometimes slow but very very playable. At least wala ra ko additional gasto. Maybe later on, I'll buy a WD passport or elements 320 gb.
Wii is great for the family. I spend time with my two kids playing Super Mario Bros. Mario Kart and Mario Party. Load of fun for the whole family
i just bought my wii for the sake of replaying the resident evil games and the new ones![]()
My setup? Originally 3.2u wii to siya and i updated it to 4.1u (manually, not thru Nintendo's System Update). Installed Hermes cIOS 222/223/224/250 with their latest versions (most of them v4) and cIOS 249 (57) rev19. Before nag-use ko ug USB loader GX kai WBFS ang partition sa akung HDD. Karun kai FAT32 naman so im currently using WiiFlow (Yes, WiiFlow supports FAT32). To answer your question, walai nakabati sa akung USB loading. All games, Wii and WiiWare games work smoothly
If some games don't work, it could due to the ff: bad dvd ripping, lacking or misuse of cIOS, your HDD is not formatted well, or the configuration of USB loader is not correct.
How guba by the way is your 1st wii? kai basin naa koi idea undaun pag-ayu ana. hehehe
Unsa HDD setup imo gamit? Passport? Elements? Enclosure? Ako kay testing lang 40GB using a IDE-to-USB Adapter. Mao tingali dili compatible ug mag-sige hangup. Sa Compatibility List, ang 320 GB WD Passport ang pinakadaghan ug confirmations for compatibility. Later na lang ko mopalit kay madala ra ug Darkcorp ang ako mga old DVDs. Although slow, there is no compatibility issues. Gasto na palit ug hassle pa convert tanan DVDs to ISOs.
Aside from the audio, everything else is working with my old wii. I will try to transfer all the old saves, channels and wiiware from the old wii to the new one. Sayang, when I just finished installing all 17 new songs in Just Dance 2 for a birthday party, namatay hinuon ang audio. Lisod gyud playing without audio.
I really think big factor ang DARKCORP sa imung wii setup coz it can heavily influence the update of your cIOS (Wii's system files). With my modding experience, DARKCORP installation is actually a big NO-NO (no kidding, you can check alotta forums that condemns it). Unless if you're really into hacking the wii console for some technical reasons or whatsoever, I wouldn't really suggest DarkCorp to everyone, especially for beginners (I'm not saying that you are). You might get tempted to install it since it can rid you of system updates from later Wii game discs, but there are a lot of alternatives to keep your Wii up-to-date... and not lose control of what cIOS to update (unlike darkcorp, in which i suspect has fabricrated one of your cIOS).
If you have the time, google for forums using these keywords: "Remove cIOSCORP/DARKCORP from your Wii Console" Hope this helps
By the way, my HDD is pqi H550 500gb w/c i bought from CDR-King.
I understand ngano bati siya for so many reasons (bad programming, non-configurable, not updatable, incompatibilities on some consoles, very unsafe to install and it bricks some. promote piracy, slow, etc.). It's working for me now, and while it lasts for a few weeks, I'm going to use it until i have the time to convert and buy a portable hdd. Thanks kaayo sa imo personal knowledge. I'm more certain now nga tungod kay dili compatible ang hdd sata/ide to usb adapter nako. Mas maayo gyud ang mga simple portable HDDs without advance features that interfere with usbloaders.
