Live Nude Figure Sketching & Drawing

zerk's right. You can eat anywhere you want before going to Tapas Lounge. I just encourage interested parties to be there by 8 so we
can get good seats. Hopefully, we're the only ones who really want to see the artists up close and personal Otherwise, somebody has to
bring a binocular.

Now, that particular thread didn't exactly say if that drawing was done by Mar Vidal at the Tapaz Lounge or if it was just a sample of Mar's work
to pull us in desperate suckers who can't afford The Arena or Club Harem, did they? I hope they practice, "Truth in advertising."

Let me get this off my chest first.

Bwa ha ha ha! You people just missed 99% of your lives.

Now that's out of the way, let me tell you about db and my experience at
the Tapas Lounge.

- chain of events -

1. I arrived at Tapas Lounge first resigned to be alone.

2. Fortunately db arrived and we had coffee and desserts before the
LIVE NUDE sketching session began. I got to know db a little better and
I think I divulged too much about my experience seeing naked women in
another context.

3. I'm not sure what time the session started but it was past 9:00 pm.

4. I expected that we'll be seated around a guest artist(s) to watch
them work but it turned out that it is a free-for-all. You heard
right. Patrons can sketch from LIVE NUDE models (two females tonight).

5. db was excited to be there because it was her first LIVE NUDE sketching
session (her first time to see another LIVE NUDE human being for that
matter).

She started sketching (she'll post it later). I didn't because of #4
although sketchpads and pencils were available. I just didn't feel like
sketching.

6. So I just went around looking at other people's work.

You: Really?

Me : Yes, really.

You: Hmm...

7. Now, I don't want to leave zerk in suspense. He kept texting asking
what th girls looked liked. Pervert!

Let's just say, they're not my type. They're more of the type Caucasian
males like. So there zerk, I hope you're satisfied (but I hope he drops
by tonight so update na lang ni zerk kung ni-agi dyud ka before going home).

8. db got to meet one of her professors.

9. We got to talk to the owner, Stefan. He promised to give me his card
but we weren't able to because he was talking to other patrons.

10. Then there was this nice lady who talked to db and guessed why db
was in a hurry to leave (300). Her son is into comic books and read
FM's 300 already. We forgot to ask for her name. Silly us.

11. db and I agreed that this is the best option for us as a group since
we can't afford to rent and hire a place and model, respectively. Just don't
expect instructions from the other artists.

12. db had to leave early and I was a bit sleepy (the brewed coffee wasn't
strong enough) and I was excited to tell you guys about the LIVE NUDE
sketching session.

13. The next session would be on March 21 guys. I really hope that all of
the regulars could attend by then. I just can't say if it would still
be a LIVE NUDE sketching session but hey, they're just a phone call away
- 231 6550 or 233 4089.

Others

I forgot if we can take pictures of the session (not the model as I assume
dili) but I don't think it's necessary.

And oh, did I mention that db and I enjoyed our first LIVE NUDE sketching
session.

damn it!!!!! I can't believe i missed it. grrrrr.. anyway. I didnt pass by nalang kay ako ra usa. :P and i had a little too much red wine. heheehee



It was nice though.. i enjoyed my experience at treft bar. nindot minimalist interiors and nice open air bar. busog sab nuon and very very nice food from my very generous bossing.

Exotic diay ang models.. :P pero it doesnt matter. ok, so who wants to go sketching and painting all the way with me next time... i hope dili na exotic ang chicks. and i hope dili lake ang nude model... :P

You can say that. I'll go with you. I forgot to include that the poses are 25 minutes each with another 25 for "cleaning up", whatever that
means.

Instead of our 2x a month Sundays, let's have 2x a month Wednesdays at Tapas Lounge. What do you think?

We would on a specified Sunday when needed but most of the time, we are probably better off participating (not just observing) in the sketching sessions at
Tapas Lounge every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. They are more productive. We can have our CCAC meetings before the sessions start anyway so
Sunday meetings will not be missed. Sometimes I feel that our club needs a clearer direction. I did say I want it to grow organically but just like any bonsai or
orchid, they get trimmed or whatever is done to them to make them more beautiful regularly. I do not want us to grow like weeds because they are ugly
chaotic.
