iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone that allows you to make a call by simply pointing your finger at a name or number in your address book, a favorites list, or a call log. It also automatically syncs all your contacts from a PC, Mac, or Internet service. And it lets you select and listen to voicemail messages in whatever order you want — just like email.
·
Receiving and making a call
With iPhone, making a call is as simple as touching a name or number. In addition, you can easily construct a favorites list for your most frequently made calls, and quickly merge calls together to create conference calls.
·
Visual Voicemail
An industry first, Visual Voicemail allows you to go directly to any of your messages without listening to the prior messages. So you can quickly select the messages that are most important to you.
SMS
iPhone includes an SMS application with a predictive QWERTY soft keyboard that prevents and corrects mistakes, making it easier and more efficient to use than the small plastic keyboards on many smartphones.
·
Photos
iPhone features a 2-megapixel camera and a photo management application that goes far beyond anything on a phone today. Sync photos from your PC or Mac, and you're ready to browse or email them with the flick of a finger.

With iPhone, making a call is as simple as touching a name or number. In addition, you can easily construct a favorites list for your most frequently made calls, and quickly merge calls together to create conference calls.
iPhone features a rich HTML email client and Safari — the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device — which automatically syncs bookmarks from your PC or Mac. Safari also includes built-in Google and Yahoo! search. iPhone is fully multi-tasking, so you can read a web page while downloading your email in the background over Wi-Fi or EDGE.

Safari Web Browser
With its advanced Safari browser, iPhone lets you see any web page the way it was designed to be seen, then easily zoom in by simply tapping on the multi-touch display with your finger.
iPhone uses a rich HTML email client that fetches your email in the background from most POP3 or IMAP mail services and displays photos and graphics right along with the text.
Google Maps
With Google Maps and iPhone's amazing Maps application, you can view maps and satellite images, or get directions and traffic information, all from iPhone's remarkable, easy-to-use touch interface.
Widgets
iPhone even has widgets: small applications that give you helpful information like stock reports, weather reports, and more in real time.
Safari Web Browser
With its advanced Safari browser, iPhone lets you see any web page the way it was designed to be seen, then easily zoom in by simply tapping on the multi-touch display with your finger.
Multi-touch
iPhone features the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse. It's an entirely new interface based on a large multi-touch display and innovative new software that lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flip through photos and email them with a touch, or zoom in and out on a section of a web page — all by simply using iPhone's multi-touch display.
Intelligent Keyboard
iPhone's full QWERTY soft keyboard lets you easily send and receive SMS messages in multiple sessions. And the keyboard is predictive, so it prevents and corrects mistakes, making it easier and more efficient to use than the small plastic keyboards on many smartphones.
Wireless
iPhone uses quad-band GSM, the global standard for wireless communications. It also supports Cingular's EDGE network, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, which links to Apple's new, remarkably compact Bluetooth headset.
Built-in Advanced Sensors
iPhone's accelerometer detects when you rotate the device from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display, so you immediately see the entire width of a web page or a photo in its proper landscape aspect ratio.
The proximity sensor detects when you lift iPhone to your ear and immediately turns off the display to save power and prevent inadvertent touches until iPhone is moved away.
An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display's brightness to the appropriate level for the current ambient light, thereby enhancing the user experience and saving power at the same time.

nothing comes close... even clones are popping out....
To answer that question on APPle OSx beng unfriendly to 3rd party software.....
That is what microsoft wants you to believe..
but a close software is not the bad
look at the blackberry.... it hasn't change that much.... now there are models with colored screen and cameras but it still is basically the same...
Blackberry OUTSELLS MS mobile phones...
Go figure the reason....
Customers want a stable phone that delivers what it promises.... the Apple Iphone will simply do that.... no RSS, no sling players, no industrial applications...
Try to ask users of Blackberry on RSS, industrial applications, or sling players....
Why blackberry is so successful...... even microsoft hasn't put a dent on its growth...
The answer is people want simple machines that don't crash.....
zirv, what are you crapping about now?!
http://mmlweb.rutgers.edu/music127/b...ash_freeze.htm
why? are you claiming apple doesnt make machines that crashes?!
http://www.jetfly.no/weblogarchives/000095.html
even my macbook...edwin_sn...and lot more out there, all our macbooks has autoshutdown problem for no reason even in the middle of our work...wont even boot up completely sometime and just shutsoff by itself...
dont kid urself...nothings perfect the way you discribe them..."simply do that" "simply works" "delivers what it promises" bull...so over hype and thats all you got...words!
http://www.macbookrandomshutdown.com/
ey, you have no idea how many brand new/slightlyused/used but defective/problematic ipods and macbooks i deal with each month (yes im a mac dealer)...even imacs have casualties...

btw are you living in cebu? how many blackberry handset users you think there are here? 1:100,000 people who has a cellphone. 1:10,000 cebuanos who has a 3G phone.

an apple or macbook or ipod has so many crashes as you would like me to believe...Originally Posted by markyap
MULTIPLY that by 10.... that is how many times WINDOWS crashes...
So reliability wise.... Please don't hype that APPLE OSX crashes.....
Look at the FIGUREs.....
For every MAC crash or any APPLE product that crashes..... LOOK over WINDOWS or MS software.... how many times it CRASHES more....
SO if I AM crapping... LOOK at your SELF in the MIRROR.... and THE CRAP you are SPEWING....
To make the STORY short....
A WIndows CRASH or MS mobile that CRASHES..... ITS NORMAL...
A MAC that crashes is ABNORMAL and should BE REPORTED..... you can put up a BLOG for EVERY MAC or APPLE products that CRASH...
But for WIndows.... who cares if it crashes.... IT Will ALWAYS crash.... people are used to it.... there is no need to BLOG about it....
I can understand when a mac crashes people have to write a blog.... because ITS NOT COMMON....
Another CRAP....btw are you living in cebu? how many blackberry handset users you think there are here? 1:100,000 people who has a cellphone. 1:10,000 cebuanos who has a 3G phone.
I am talking about BLackberry USAGE in the US.... and why is it OUTSELLING every month PALM or WINDOWS based mobile phones...
you can get the figures for your self.....
It only means people want simple devices that work.... If they wanted those sling players, RSS, Etc.... Windows based phones WILL BE SELLING like HOTCAKES... but ITs NOT....
Get the point...
In CEbu.... please even RIM the owner of Blackberry doesn't know cebu.... but they know what their customers want.... and they give their customers reliable products.....
So even though there are only 10 people in cebu with blackberry..... That doesn't ERASE the FACT the BLACKBERRY has SOLD more than 10 million devices in the US.....
Please give us a better ARGUEMENT(s)....
you can Say macs or apple products crashes...
but please also mention WINDOWS or MS MObile CRASHES MORE.....
3G
It can wait.... Better standards are being developed WHY RUSH
its a closed OS...
Blackberry has a close OS... do BLACKberry users COMPLAIN
Understand the market.... maybe you will BE SUCCESSFUL.....

personally, none of my personal windows system has crashed in recent memory...(for several years already...maybe its coz i design them and built them myself and i know what im doing!) but ive seen them happen almost everyday coz thats part of my business.
to point out my home pc right now has been running for more than 2months without rebooting or errors what so ever (its recovering data in the background from large hdd that crashed so i had to leave it on) while i use the same computer editing photos in photoshop...(btw, try recovering data from your mac hdd that crashed...hehehe)
for the mac, i just exprienced autoshutoff yesterday...im not overhyping anything unlike you, im stating facts...im expriencing it, duh!!
you on the other hand are all talk...all speculation...all preditions...blah blah blah.
yes they all can crash or have errors or have problems as i said they are all just computers/electronic devices made by MAN...
you are just to stubborn to admit nothing is perfect. by far not apple products!
im only pointing out links as proof that mac does have crashes contrary to what you are misleading everyone here...
i never said it never happens to other OS. nor did i claim it will not happen.
you are now MAKING STUFF UP! isa kang magikero...pulling stuff out of thin air...tsk tsk!
you on the other hand speak as if OSX and apple as the almighty without flaws...the one and only best!
these links i posted are for the benifit of the other forumers...so they can say for themselves what wrongs you have stated from your misleading informations!
none of my post are for your benifit zirv...you are already hopeless...im just watching out for other forums, hoping they get all the facts and not be tangled in you web of hype...
again why the crap are you talking bout US sales when its clear its about here in the philippines thats important!
whats used here...whats available here...whats applicable here...whats viable here...whats happening here...
who cares if blackberry shines in the US. its not happening here.
its like who cares if in china they use chopsticks...here we use spoon and fork! gets?!
i understand cebu market thats why I AM SUCESSFUL...maingit ka lang! hahahaha!
you on the other hand is hangup about blackberry in the US and a phone thats a year away to be released with less than impressive specs.
people here dont want to wait...hell every day i even get calls if n95 is already available...would you like to see my long list of n95 waiting list?!
3G...whos rushing...its been around for some years...
bottomline, why should i wait when im enjoying it now...(ikaw lang hulat, ayaw pangdamay!)...
when it was new, everything was free...
now free pa yong ibang service...and cheap wireless broadband access...sarap!

BUT that DOESN't ERASE the FACT that MORE and MORE CRASHES of WINDOWS or MS Mobile HAppen.... And people dont bother REPORT them because THEY have accepted its normal.........
Whose MISLEADING?
Again the mobile PHONE market is a GLOBAL MArket..... ALL Over the GLOBE.....again why the crap are you talking bout US sales when its clear its about here in the philippines thats important!

You can't JUST ADMIT... that A SIMPLE device such as a BLAckberry is OUTSELLING MS Phones.... Blackberyy's have no RSS, Sling player, Industrial applications....
Why is IT SUCCESSFUL?
As I said there maybe less than 10 blackberry in the philippines..... BUT that DOESN'T MEAN it losing to MS mobile phone......
Also Blackberry WORKs HERE.......
Do your selling....i understand cebu market thats why I AM SUCESSFUL...maingit ka lang! hahahaha!
you on the other hand is hangup about blackberry in the US and a phone thats a year away to be released with less than impressive specs.
IF you want to design a phone go ahead.... lets see if you understand the market....
N95 make sure you are ready with a cebu city map for the GPS... and show me you understand the maket....
3G settle the standards..... why rush3G...whos rushing...its been around for some years...??
also it is EVERYWHERE already...... why not try make a VIDEO Call in OSLOB cebu
You as a reseller need to sell as many as possible....bottomline, why should i wait when im enjoying it now...(ikaw lang hulat, ayaw pangdamay!)...
I as a customer can think and evaluate.... I decide to wait.... why spend 40,000 for n95I'd rather use the 40,000 for the Iphone....
so while I keep my 40,000
I can make Unlimited sun to sun calls..... with a basic no frills phone....
