janet emmrich maybe 5'3" but she is very photogenic and has done modelling in europe before moving to cebu. katrina ross became a MAC model first before becoming a TV host. They may lack height which is why you'll hardly see them on the runway, but their very much sought after for print ADs specially by international clients. MAC, being the one of the best modelling agencies in cebu, does not only look at the face but the potential as well. some may not be as appealling but put them on the ramp or have them face the camera and they change immediately like a chameleon.

Yes, some their models look ordinary when mixed in the crowd but what separates them is their ability to deliver what is asked of them in the fashion industry. And not everyone can do that! I've worked with models who may be considered veterans but cannot deliver what is needed.

on the international scene, take a look at Alek Wek, one of the most sought after models from Sudan. She may not look beautiful but in front of the camera and on the runway, she definitely delivers!
