tinuod2x ka TS!!!.. aku muangkon jud ku nga hilig ku ug branded na mga butang. may it be shoes, bags, watch, make-up, blah blah blah. PERO mupalit ra sad ku ani mga butanga kung naay kwarta ikapalit. kanang tinigum or extra sa budget. kanang branded na ma-afford ra sad naku. ayaw sad tawn nang inutang ha. way pulos branded kung inutang ra sad.
pero di ku hilig makigsabay sa uso.. like karon uso kaau ang mga blackberry cellphones, iphone, etc. pero di paman ku ka-afford so.. di naku pugson ug palit. anyway, i still have a samung phone which still serves it's main purpose of texting and calling. hmmm. so i'm contented! i would have wanted a laptop and dslr also, but i can't afford as well. di ku baga ug nawng mangayo sa akong papa ug ing-ana ka-mahal bahalag only child paku, ug di sa panghambug nga stable ang trabaho sa akong amahan. char. hahaha. then again, we belong to the average, middle working class (whatever you call it) so i know whatever my father spends, it's is very hard earned money.
karon work sah ku on my very first job to support my LUHO. what the heck.. i'm young and single so i can spend whatever i want on my salary! i drive a car, but i didn't bought it. sa ako sad ni amahan. pero gipagamit man.. so why not? who doesn't want a car

RIGHT

!!!i aminin.. i cannot tell you just how convenient it is!

but it doesn't mean bisan asa lang ku lagpot.. dili ku laag diri, laag didto kay mahal na jud ang gasolina karon. saon nalang. i've never bought a cup of starbucks, bo's or seattle's best churva, churva. heck, i could not even stomach to buy a cup of gellatisimo ice cream for 100 pesos no matter how much i salivate everytime i pass by their stall because in my mind, that price equates to a 2pc. chicken meal at K-F'reakin-C!!!!in fact, starbucks don't even appeal to me. well of course, i would rather dine at a nice, fancy restaurantant and taste some good food but i save it on special occasions nalang no matter how much i wanna frequently do it. hey, i love food but i can't spend all that i earn for a sophisticated dinner and starve the week after, righT

?!!!!!!!!!!!! HMm.. what else.. ahh.. these people you see at the "in" places right now, like loft and vudu? true.. many rich people hang out there, but not all. i'm sure many social climbers and gold diggers abound at these places as well,
but hey, WHO ARE WE TO MEDDLE WITH THEIR AFFAIRS? ilaha sad na. if that's their idea of fun, then go ahead... let them get drunk and wasted and spend 300 for an entrance ticket at a nightclub for all i care. for the record, i've never been there but i want to check it out though.. someday! just for experience sake. para di sad tawn ku ignorante bah. hehe. =)
with regards to people who tries so hard to speak broken english at irrelevant places (jeepney, etc.), well that's free education. grab the opportunity and learn from their wrong grammar. hahaha.
here's a pov i'd wanna share to you TS.. you have a good point on your initial post, but then again, it's their lives! as long as wala sila nangutang nimu .. then pasagdi sila sa ilang gibati. but don't generalize. just because people drive cars and wear branded things doesn't give you a right to stereotype them as social climbers. like me, i work for my money.. i spend it on what i want. wa koy tao gi-ilad. we all have our vices.. we all have a soft spot for materialism, c'mon! but like everything else, we should know how to set our limits. one good advise i always tell myself (and now to you) mind your own business and learn how to SAVE! ohh.. saving.. now that's a different story.
