.. what i've always done. Making people see that there are more pressing issues that needs to be tended by them ( opposition and coalition ). And in a more local scene, just look at all the outreach programs Istorya has done.

.. are you talking about yourself here?? coz not even once did i go to any fixer. I only did one "corruption" in my entire life, that was way back college when i paid my commandant to have me pass the ROTC 11 and 12.

.. and by you saying that it also means that you ONLY see the negative side of things. Such a disappointment really.

I'm no saint either, I had my share of "corruption" during my school days and earlier part of my career but here's the catch: I'll try my very best to redeem those misdeeds I made even if it took me the rest of my life to do it. if we just say "manikas lang ko 'coz everybody's doing it anyway" then we're just resigned to the fact that "cheating is ok"... which is not. most if not all Filipinos like me, have cheated once or twice in the past but that doesn't mean "WE are a nation of cheaters" and as long as somebody out there is living a life free of corruption and cheating, living a life based on Integrity and Accountability then RP being branded as a nation of cheaters is far fetched and to say the least... A BIT UNFAIR

my point here... i'm not questioning you or anybody here what they have done something. my question was do we have to lay down what we have done for us to say something? Coz they way i understand your statements it's like i have to present first what i have done... for me to air my kalagotgot.

secret... do i have to confess to you? And i'm not addressing that question to you personally. My point is here to tell people that if we want countries or other people to see us as a nation of cheater, then we are individuals should also stop doing things that promotes corruption.

yup it's a bit unfair, pero we can't stop them dba bai to think of us that way? People may not agree with me thats fine. Thats their opinion. But to be called stupid because of my opinion is another story.

If we are really a country full of hope, then why many of our countrymen are itching to go out of the country every minute. If we are really a nation full of hope and honest men, why an honest taxi driver is a BIG NEWS to all of us. If we are really a nation of honest people, why it looks extraordinary for a govenment official not to ask for money in a given transaction?

Whether we like or not, the culture of corruption and dishonesty has imbedded in the mindset of Filipinos, rich or poor. And this mindset manifest itself in everyday life. The nursing Board Exam fiasco, the fielding of overage players and the GMA-Garci tapes are just the after effects of this mindset.
