my take on how corruption started.

in the time of old, idealist X became the brgy. captain because people chose him. there was no election then. no honorarium as brgy. official. now as the "father of the brgy", people go to him for almost everything. way koy bugas, kap. nasakit akong anak. namatyan mi. since X is a kind and compassionate person, he gave all he could. until his wife complained that they don't have enough for their family anymore.

here comes Y who wanted a favor from X, since Y wanted the transaction expedited, he gave money to X for snacks, pasalamat, whatever. now, X feels uncomfortable with receiving the money. but on the otherhand, he thinks that he could use the money whenever people would come to ask from him. years pass and he continues receiving money for favors done and people go to him for money. until he felt, why not keep something for myself and why not get a little from the kaban ng bayan, afterall, i am serving without pay. and he became rich and richer still.

a budget came for the honorarium for brgy. officials and he was happy. but still he continues with the kickbacks. then came the election. he was so comfortable with the power and money of the position that he ran in the election. even paying people to vote for him. and then when his 3 terms ended, he ran for mayor in the municipality. and his son became the brgy. captain. and then they move to higher positions. still people ask them for rice, medicines, coffins, fiestas, fares, pang tuition. if they won't give, they would lose the elections, have a bad rep. and so idealist X and his sons and daughters continue the cycle of corruption.

and the cycle never ends.

as i said we dont talk politics, blame politicians in here we talk how to love our country in our simple ways. or maybe most of us her wont accept the reality that we are one of the problem in this country. ngano naka ingun ko? example like unsa mn? we don't obay traffic roles, segregation of garbage pataka lng ta labay, we damage our seas, cutting small trees, pataka pang luwa, pataka labay sigarilyo, dili gamiton ang mga sky walk and etc....


i realize ngano kaha ang hapon ug koreano na desiplinado mn kaayo cla? example ang mga hapon bisan mamatay na sila hapit sa ka gutom katong na tsunami sila linya lng japon cla...huna hunaa kuno ninyo kung unsa ang kuwang nato..

kidding aside, maybe we don't love phils. as much we say we do whatever the reason maybe and we dont have great leader.. im not blaming the govt because of corruption. i blame them because they can't unit us and strive hard as a nation. maybe others will say na u dont need the govt. for a change because change start within ourselves... (estoryayheeeee) filipinos, with our kind of attitude need guidance.

Lots of ideas here, but I think there might be a simpler explanation that most of us don't want to believe is true:

Disciplina ang kulang, kitang mga pinoy bsag 30 anyos na immature pa ghapon ug wlay disciplina ug respeto.
example; didto dapit sa pardo church, mas daghan ang molabang sa dalan bsag naa nay Overpass gibutang.. sakto kaha na?
