    nope!

    why?
coz photography is different from graphic arts!

Hue..or color blindness.. is not important on Photography!
Changing colors on original pix is not photography but..Graphix/photo editing!

    in my opinion..
Great Photographers can create perfect shot w/o editing and w/o post processing!

    Opinion lng mga sir!

Film processing techniques is processing and will involved editing to some degree.

Shooting in RAW will involve some degree of editing for the final output

Shooting in JPEG will involve some degree of editing by setting the picture style mode (canon, forgot what its called in nikon and the rest of the brands). This setting is processing.

Great photographers, Make great photos. Period.

And these great photographers are masters in post processing techniques as well.

Nothing in this thread says that you suck in photography just because you fail. It's just a hint or tip, that if you don't score well in this test, then something must be wrong. Your monitor perhaps? Your eyes? And because if that, you should be careful not to overdo post processing your photos since you can't even tell the right colors apart.

Present digital cameras make nice photos acceptable to the masses. But as photographers, we want to extend that and so we post process. That's the critical part, because plenty of people do a lot of post processing without even knowing if their monitors are calibrated properly to their working space and print lab. This even gets worst if their eyes can't even tell the colors apart.

Example situation, some people cannot see the magenta color cast of cheap filters that appear on their landscape shots. This alone is a problem and we haven't touched the topic of post processing yet.

Read the first post. Nobody says anything about failing means you will never make it as a great photographer.

    and about this
Great Photographers can create perfect shot w/o editing and w/o post processing!
You really need to get to know these Great Photographers first and check if they never really post processed their shots. Google is your friend.
