asus 8500gt's heat was not too much compared to PC's 2600XT, 8500gt's idle temp was always arounf 42-44c while 2600xt's idle temp is at 47-50c..
when loaded (my load is sro full graphic settings with 3 accounts) 2600xt's temp is 65c
while 8500gt's temp is only at 57-60c (panagsa ra pud kaau mag 60c)

this is based on my experience with the two vcards...

my force3D 4670 died after a few days use, kept crashing also, display would disappear but the computer would still be running, when the technician tested it, he couldnt even get it to display! lol

ive got a 3850 now, force3D, im abusing the card right now, so far 12 hours and no crash. ^^

@lokster, yes force3d right now.. so far 7th hour of testing now, ang net man ang mi-crash, but the vcard is runnig well! yey hope this goes on for the next 24hours.. after the crash testing mag 3d benchmark nako

the 4670 is 3.7k, for 200php you couldve gotten a much better card. really

although both the 4670 and the 4650 fans are tiny, notice it doesnt even take up an extra slot! which is nice but i doubt the cooling power it has needed to cool the video cards, it can get quite hot and hit 80C when i tested my 4670, im much happier with the 3850, 16hours now, just running, working alright, havent checked the temps yet. ima go CoD4 online right now.

temps on my 3850 with a much bigger and larger fan

full load max is between 60-65C
idle load max is between 36-40C

im giving a 4-5C error because it fluxes

Temps on my former 4670 Force3D with a joke of a fan

full load max is between 80-85C
idle load max is between 45-50C

which is pretty bad,

Force3D cards have uncontrollable fans, cant control in overdrive or ati tray tools or even rivatuner!
