Why prayers are sometimes unanswered?

the TS i think is questioning the effectiveness of a prayer from a Christian's POV..there's nothing wrong with that...

so do you know what the Absolutes are? if you don't. most probably whatever your beliefs and understanding regarding what is absolute is most probably still based from assumptions and speculations...may be educated ones but STILL no more than just an assumption..

yes absolutes are derived from hypothesis, theories and others... but arrived at its absolutes due to an acquisition of concretes and rational answers... that's why we need to learn and be educated at things because at the end of the day we would still cling to what it is that is readily available.... u dont pray wen u get sick u take paracetamols...
