    I am in favor of changing our country for the better but the real change that all of us are aspiring for would take more work and sad to say will not happen in our lifetime. Why?
    The problem is already ingrained in our culture. If I am to sum up the root cause of our problem, I would say that it is our Patriotism or the lack thereof. Let me cite the fillowing prevalent attitude that we have;
    1. Love of anything foreign and not patronizing local products
    2. Seeking or applying our skills abroad
    3. Being submissive to people in power

    I am not a hypocrit and say I have not commited the three mentioned causes but I have worked on them and I can say that I will do everything I can to build our nationalistic pride and the love for our country

    FYI you don't change a country by relaying with other people or leaders. Start the change sa own self, you can't even choose a good leader if have not done this. Naay daghan lami kaayo ug pa istorya pero utro sad naay hiwi ng pang lantaw sa kina buhi, utro sa sang marokoy sa pag panginabuhi, utro sang hiwi ug mga pamaagi. Your aim for a good country is just fake.

    people want a magician, not a leader. they want someone who can give them anything good, without understanding economics. Let's admit it, most of the problems we see are economic in origin. But somehow, political solutions can solve economic problems. Now, people are attributing the problems we face as lack of nationalism, corruption and some ethereal causation rather than ignorance of basic economics. Example, if a legislation is passed to give dole outs to a particular demographic, do you rejoice it as benevolence? If a legislation is passed to cap prices on certain goods, do you rejoice it as benevolence? if you understand basic economics, dole outs most often damage the economy as a whole, and price controls promotes shortages which damages the economy as a whole. Find a leader who has a basic grasp of economics and his results will be far more benevolent than the benevolent candidate. The first rule of economics, is that all wants exceeds all there is. The first rule of politics is to forget the first rule of economics.

    Until I see a majority of pedestrians who can actually obey traffic lights, not crossing when the light says not to
    Even simple those simple basic rules they find it impossible to follow.

    I even observed quite a lot esp in the city streets, sidewalks, bus or jeepney stops---people littering, doesn't even think twice or hesitate to drop whatever it is he or shy is holding---a wrapper or cigarette butt as if it's just plain normal to just throw or drop anything from where they stand

    Ako one time I need some extra change and turned my pockets inside out I forgot daghan kaayo diay sagbot---candy wrappers or unwanted reciepts kay ako na ibutang sa akong bulsa if wa ko makit-an nga malabayan. Giingnan pako "unsa na imo bulsa basurahan?" well ako ingon pud ko "di man gud ko pataka ug labay kay di ko pareha ninyo lain taw mag antos sa inyung basura!"

    In reality, changing our country is bit difficult to ponder on since the complexity of our system and its politics is already rooted to the old generation up to now. I can't say all were corrupt, but the problem we are facing right now is how to change Philippines and when?

    It always start each one of us with right attitude & mind set about the primary economic problems like - our population, GDP, inflation, unemployment and our basic necessity to balance and improve it but because "corruption" is an infinite word to act - and still it continues to jeopardize for a long term prospect economic development.

    The word "change" is exciting - but lets bear in mind if we need "change", theirs a lot of time and hard work to push to its limit beyond our standards and protocol - that's why are country, its still "DEVELOPING" and until now we are still in progress to push our boundaries and network not only to tap Asia but as well to the EU & US.
