Patriotism to their tribes, to their family and thier livelihood... doesn't mean entire land. Contemporary yes, but we have so many islands that sets different tribal laws... bathala for the luzon areas... but what about the visayas and mindanao? This is what I mean patriotisms... each tribes had it's own laws... christianity and the existence of christian god was not salvation for the tribal people... partriotisms will physically save your life. Salvation through christian faith? that's a big question mark.

Historically, so many died because of christianity... take the story of Joan of Arc... our history itself... megllan and lapu-lapu and 300+ years under spain. France, Italty... they didn't embrace christianity rather forced into them. Question, can you name any country that are properous after embracing christianity?
