I would love a by the beach wedding, but I am sure El Bana's family would want it in a church( this time),so I will have it at my hometown, one of the oldest church in Cebu and facing the sea. Late in the afternoon just as the sun is setting, and we will have tents in front of church for the reception, live band will be playing, and it will be just an intimate affair
His and my family. Family friends,close friends over the years.The reception will be lit with candles, and nothing else. It'll be just a short event, dinner, then off to our honeymoon.. .

I had such a grand plans for my wedding when i was young. I have so many Bridal magazines. I already planned it down to details. Nothing can go wrong ... except that when it finally happened, it was NOTHING like what i envisioned it to be.

[color=navy]I'd like to think my parents had the ideal wedding.

They got married modestly and legally through the powers of a judge 26 years ago with only my godmother (my mother's older sister) with her husband, and another couple who are family friends and who worked at the same municipal hall where the wedding took place to stand as sponsors and witnesses.

It was only last year, 2006, that my parents celebrated their 1st church wedding ceremony and their 25th wedding anniversary! But it was well-worth it, my parents gave out a great celebration with 4 generations of both families as well as the original four witnesses of the civil wedding in attendance (my folks would have invited the judge who officiated their wedding but alas he passed away 10 years prior-- may God bless his soul)

I feel my parents' wedding is ideal to emulate particularly in these times because the money that would be spent for the wedding and reception (the cheapest is like PhP150,000) could just be saved if the couple would opt for a simple, modest wedding-- save the money for something real to celebrate like the union of 25 years that is still going strong!

I also remembered a lady friend of mine who said her ideal wedding is to get married in the church where her parents, both of her grandparents and her paternal great-grandparents were married! ALL IN THE SAME CHURCH!

It's because all the unions were so blessed that my lady friend would want the same blessings and bliss to land on her wedding and marriage there on.
